Berkshire School: Berkshire College is a co-educational boarding school for grades 9-12 located in Sheffield, New Berkshire County in Western Massachusetts (New England). At Berkshire we offer a first-rate academic program, distinctive opportunities in the arts, and excellent athletics.
We are located approx two and a half hrs from Boston and New York City and one and a half hours from Albany.

Take the Saw Mill River Parkway to Interstate 684 north. Follow I-684 to Route 22 (at Pawling) and travel north to Millerton. In Millerton, turn right on Route 44 and continue east to Salisbury, CT. In Salisbury, bear left on Route 41 and travel north for 13 miles. The entrance to Berkshire School is on the left side of the road. (approximately 2 ½ hours)
From Albany and Points West
Take the New York Thruway east to Exit B3 at the Massachusetts border. Take Route 22 south to Hillsdale, NY. In Hillsdale, turn left on Route 23 and travel east towards South Egremont, MA. Five miles after crossing the Massachusetts state line, turn right on Route 41 south and travel 3 miles. The entrance to Berkshire School is on the right side of the road. (approximately 1 ½ hours)
From Boston and Points North and East
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Exit 2: Lee. Take Route 102 South and travel towards Stockbridge. In Stockbridge, Route 102 joins Route 7. At the Red Lion Inn, take a left to stay on Route 7 south, and continue to Great Barrington. Route 7 will merge with Routes 23 and 41. Travel through Great Barrington center until you reach the traffic light by the Great Barrington Police Station (on left). Turn right onto Routes 23 and 41 towards South Egremont. Just past the village of South Egremont, turn left on Route 41 South and travel 3 miles. The entrance to Berkshire School is on the right side of the road.
From Hartford and Central Connecticut
Take Route 44 west to the town of Canaan, CT. In Canaan center, turn right on Route 7 north and travel for 10 miles across the Massachusetts border. In the town of Sheffield, MA, turn left at the Police Station onto Berkshire School Road and travel 6 miles. Turn right on Route 41 north and the entrance to Berkshire School will be 200 yards ahead on the left. (approximately 1 ½ hours)
From Southern Connecticut
Take Route 8 north to Route 44 west to Canaan, CT. In Canaan center, turn right on Route 7 north and travel for 10 miles across the Massachusetts border. In the town of Sheffield, MA, turn left at the Police Station on Berkshire School Road and travel 6 miles.
