Montessori Method:

The Montessori Method believes that children learn directly from their environment and other children. The teacher is there to facilitate the child’s exploration and creativity.

All subjects are interwoven and the child learns at their own pace. This helps each child gain independence and confidence, and be proud of their own achievement. Montessori children are usually very adaptable. They have learned to work independently and in groups.

Thomas's London Day Schools are a group of family run, co-educational schools for children from the ages of two and a half to thirteen. We offer first class Kindergarten, Lower, Middle and Upper School education in our preparatory schools throughout London. Hampton Court House, located in Surrey (35 minutes from London), South East England, is an independent co-educational school offering programs to children from Nursery (3.5 year olds) to Year 11 (16 year olds). Most children who come to Hampton Court House stay on to take GCSEs. Those who do wish to move on earlier are fully prepared for the 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance and scholarship examinations of the leading boys’ and girls’ schools. Hampton Court House was founded 8 years ago. Already we have grown into a school of almost 200 pupils. So we are a new school and yet a traditional school. The most important thing to us is that children enjoy being here and that they look forward each day to coming to school. We want to lay the foundations of a life long love of learning.
