Oswestry School is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 4-18 located in Oswestry, Shropshire, West Midlands of England. Oswestry School Prepcare also provides an excellent start for children who are, as yet, too young to become a member of the main school. Older nursery children enjoy access to the main school with music, dance and PE taught by some of Oswestry School’s specialist teachers and are able to take part in key school events such as the Bellan House Sports Day, Summer Show and Forest School.

Reception – Year 4

Starting at 8.40am and ending at 3.30pm, our Infant children have access to a full and varied curriculum, benefiting from small, individual year-group classes taught by well-qualified teachers and teaching assistants. There is specialist subject teaching in PE, French, music, design and information technology, theatre arts and ballet, including tuition for the LAMDA exams.

Years 5 - 6
Starting at 8.40am and ending at 4.30pm, our children spend their mornings at Bellan House and their afternoons at the Senior School where they enjoy science in the laboratories, art, drama and PE all taught by Senior academics.

• Lower School for 11 to 14 year-olds (Years 7, 8 and 9)
• Upper School for 14 to 16 year olds (Years 10 and 11)

Subjects include art, biology, business studies, chemistry, design and technology, English, food preparation and nutrition, French, geography, history, computing, mathematics, music, PE studies, physics, religious studies, speech and drama, Spanish and textiles.
