London Christian School:
London Christian School is a brand new independent primary school that exists to provide an excellent Christian education for the children of London. We are located in Borough and are accessible via all major routes and subway stations. Our teachers have extensive teaching experience in State schools and Christian Schools in the UK and Australia. It is our goal to provide schooling that corresponds with the educational desires and responsibilities of parents, and which works towards the development of the whole child in a dynamic, loving and purposeful community. Reception students - Settling Into School:
Reception children start with half a term of mornings only. The transition into school is gradual so that their first experience of school is manageable and positive. The regular school day is adjusted to meet their changing needs. During the first half of the Autumn term pupils attend school from 8.50 am to 1 pm; have lunch at school at 12.30 pm and can be collected at 1 pm from the playground (or from the hall if it is wet/cold). For the second half of the Autumn term pupils will be expected to at
tend two afternoons per week, and from January, four afternoons per week.
Primary School:
The London Christian School curriculum is designed to develop the whole child ensuring their physical, academic, social, emotional and spiritual needs are considered in a dynamic and varied activity base. Programmes are carefully designed to extend students toward their natural potential, allowing for acquisition of knowledge and its application in critical thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis and evaluation. Our curriculum - which is broadly in line with the national curriculum - has been written with the aim of ensuring that our core values are upheld. This means that all of our teachers are deeply committed Christians and that they teach the curriculum from a Christian point of view.
Carefully structured objectives outline expected achievement in each subject area. Whilst these clear developmental standards are upheld, it is the abilities, interests and measured progress of the child which directs the programme. Continuous assessment and planning ensure the curriculum is tailored to meet their individual learning needs.
The weekly timetable assigns an hour each day to English and Mathematics based curriculum activities. Around these core subjects there is a networking of Science, Geography, History, Religious Education, Personal Health, Society Education, Physical Education, Design and Technology, Music, Art and Drama. While each field of study is independently recognised, there are intentionally planned overlaps between subjects.
Details of the weekly curriculum are conveyed 
to parents in a weekly newsletter from the classroom teacher. Natural links occurring across areas of study allow children to benefit from a morenatural, meaningful and stimulating programme. These subject associations are further enhanced by real life learning opportunities, guest speakers, educational trips and community involvement. Activities, topics and experiences are built to enhance the natural interests and enthusiasm of students. Learning is accessible and fun and incorporates song, rhyme, movement, drama, games and sport to facilitate learning. Students are directed to engage with their own learning and develop the skills and interest for a lifetime of growth and learning.

Thomas's London Day Schools are a group of family run, co-educational schools for children from the ages of two and a half to thirteen. Rochester Independent College, in the County of Kent, just east of London, offers a distinctive alternative to a conventional sixth form and a stepping stone between school and university. Established in 1984, we accept day students from the age of 11. Boarding is available for A-level students and Year 11 students on GCSE courses who are aged 16 or older.
Students come to us from all over the UK and the world, as well as the local area. There are no bells ringing, no uniforms and everybody is on first name terms. The College has an atmosphere closer to university than school where students are treated as young adults.
