Vivace Theatre School, Glasgow:
Vivace Theatre School is a Glasgow based Youth Arts Academy, providing first class training in Acting, Singing, Dance, Musical Theatre, Early Stages Performance and Drama School Audition Preparation for young people aged 2-18yrs. We run exciting performing arts term-time courses, summer schools and education projects in nursery, primary and secondary schools throughout Scotland and since opening in March 2003, have quickly established a reputation for quality, value and above all fun. We firmly believe that young people need ample opportunity to transfer their skills from the classroom onto the stage and for this reason we aim to complete a minimum of two productions with each class per academic year. If you are keen and want to try something new then give us a call. We demand and maintain a high quality of performance from our students but all necessary support and tuition is provided by our committed and enthusiastic staff. We are located near Glasgow Green, Glasgow´s oldest Park.
Drama builds self-confidence, aids public speaking and develops interpersonal skills. Dance promotes an enhanced awareness of physical presentation and improves physical fitness and coordination. Singing can bring about a number of health benefits from de-stressing and relaxing to working the lungs and heart and releasing natural feel-good endorphins.
Above all, our courses build team work, discipline and personal motivation and best of all they are lots of fun!
Many of our students have gone on to pursue careers in theatre, film & television as actors, dancers, singers and even production crew. We provide casting opportunities for those training at Vivace and our career information and support for drama school auditions ensures our senior students have the very best chance to succeed in the extremely competitive application process for places in further education institutes.
We believe that the opportunity to participate in the peforming arts can completely change a young persons life. Building confidence, creativity, meeting new people and learning new skills are key to a young persons development.
