The Core Values Bromsgrove seeks to foster in its pupils are:
- Humility and Confidence
- Compassion and Ambition

- Tolerance and Vision
International Students:
Though over twelve hundred of the fifteen hundred pupils in the constituencies of Bromsgrove School are British, Bromsgrove is home to thirty-five different nationalities. We celebrate this and take enormous pride in the unique atmopshere such a demographic produces. Many large universities have less diversity than Bromsgrove, and when a pupil leaves this School, they will understand that no nation, no indiviudal can stand alone. We dare to hope that seeds of future cooperation are sown in our classrooms, debating halls and playing fields.
The Good Schools Guide proclaims that Bromsgrove "inhabits the academic stratosphere", enjoys "oustanding leadership" and "outstanding sport", while official inpectors OFSTED rate both Senior and Prep School as "outstanding." If you believe in league tables, then Bromsgrove is in the top ten (sometimes top five) of all British coeducational boarding/day schools. The School's facilities are exceptional.
The ultimate measure, though, is not league tables or the buildings: it's whether young people want to be here and then, whether they become adults who make a difference for the better. They do. As well as the twelve hundred British pupils, three hundred others from thirty five nations now attend Bromsgrove, while Bromsgrove Thailand, opened in 2005, thrives in Bangkok. Internationally, nationally and locally, Bromsgrove School burns bright.
Bromsgrove takes sport seriously and, as a result, is one of the country’s most successful sporting schools. However, we have great depth as well as excellence at the highest level, so the enthusiastic but less able participants will thrive in teams appropriate to their ability. We are not a sports academy: but we do aim to perform as if we are. National, county and regional champions in a wide range of sports over the last few years, we want our pupils to become all the richer through personal fulfilment and teamwork. Our fixture lists are demanding and extensive.
Our range of sport is considerable, our facilities superb, and our expectations high. To see former pupils gaining full international caps (as they do) in rugby, hockey or whatever, gives us great pride, but so too does seeing a pupil fight their way into an Under 14 B team. Bromsgrove pupils should enjoy sport at the highest level they can attain and take from the experience friendships and skills that will last for life.
The Arts:
Pupils come to understand better the human condition if music, drama and art are central to the life of a School. That sounds portenous, but at Bromsgrove we believe it. If the arts exist to tick boxes on CVs or turn pupils into performing robots, then better they don't exist at all. Experience can be amplified and intensified through the arts, and at their best they they can increase our sensitivity to and empathy with others. They are that important.
Bromsgrove School is set within its own 100 acres of grounds just out of the town of Bromsgrove itself which is about 16 miles (26 km) north east of Worcester and 13 miles (21 km) south west of Birmingham city centre. It is ideally located for local, national and international travel to / from the city of Birmingham and its surrounding areas, Birmingham International Airport, London Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. Bromsgrove is also close to excellent road and rail links (the town has its own railway line), such as the M5 and M42 motorways and Birmingham train stations.
