Plymouth College:
Plymouth College is a co-educational school based in the bustling maritime city of Plymouth with the magnificent moorland, countryside and coastal landscapes of Devon and Cornwall close to hand. Our two locations, Prepschool towards the west near Stonehouase and our senior school to the north in the Mutley Plain shopping district are easily accessible and have been at the forefront of education in the South West of England since 1877 and, whilst quietly conscious of the past and traditions remain forward-looking and dynamic. The school offers continuous education from ages 3 to 18 years with boarding facilities at the Senior School from age 11. We have a long tradition of providing a happy environment in which all pupils are encouraged to reach their full potential. Our recent Inspection Report described the life of a Plymouth College Preparatory School pupil as 'rich and rewarding' and we aim to provide children with the best possible start to their academic careers.

We boast a team of experienced and friendly staff, and our own activities are run by qualified professionals.

Programs:

Day Program; Boarding Program; Preparatory School; Reception; Kindergarten; Lower School; Senior School; Sixth Form; Whilst most teaching time is given to core subjects, English, Maths and Science, ample time is given to other subjects to ensure a balance is maintained. Music, Dance, Drama, Art and Sport are also part of the curriculum.

Ford Park:
College House is a row of Victorian villas with three houses for the boys containing approximately 50 beds and three houses for girls with about 40 beds. The bedrooms are very homely and range from one to four beds per room. Each room has plenty of storage and a desk for personal study. There are no en-suite rooms but there are plenty of bathroom facilities throughout the houses.

On the ground floor of both the boys and girls sides there are a range of activity rooms with TV, video and DVD facilities, pool and table tennis, pianos, computers with free internet access and quiet rooms for relaxing. Each side also has a pay phone and its own kitchen for making drinks and snacks.

We provide all bedding and bed linen for visitors but not towels. An in-house laundry service for personal items can be arranged.

The Millfields:
Captain's House was formerly part of the Royal Naval Hospital and can sleep up to 50 people in twin or single rooms. The bedrooms are in four wings on two floors and each room has its own basin - there are plenty of shower/bathroom facilities throughout the house. Each floor has a kitchen for making drinks and snacks and there are various common rooms with TV and games facilities. Other facilities include a washing machine/dryer, pay phones and computers with free internet access. Bedding and bed linen is provided although guests must bring their own towels.

Catering:
Meals are served in the dining halls at both sites and are prepared by our friendly and experienced catering team. The food is of a very high standard and menus can be arranged to suit your tastes.

Over the years we have had a wide range of different groups staying with us in the holidays. Some have just had bed and breakfast accommodation while others have had full catering and taken advantage of our classroom, drama and sports facilities. For this reason we will work with you to put together a package that suits your needs.

To reach us by Rail:
The main line station is Plymouth, only a 5 minute taxi journey away from both Schools, it has regular connections to London, Birmingham and the South West.

To reach us by Air:
Plymouth Airport is 15 minutes from the Schools and has connecting flights to London and other UK airports.

Outside the Classroom:

For over a hundred years past pupils have continued their relationship with Plymouth College through the OPM (Old Plymothian and Mannamedian) Club. The OPM Club boasts a number of sporting sections with their Rugby and Hockey teams being amongst the strongest in the area. Cricket, Golf, Bowls and Squash are foremost among the rest and the club are always keen to support new initiatives.
