Taunton School, Somerset:
Located in Taunton, Somerset, in the South West of England, Taunton School is a private, independent boarding and day school that incorporates a nursery school & pre-preparatory school for boys and girls ages 0-7. Children can enter Taunton Nursery School from birth, most usually following maternity leave to suit parental needs and can join at any point during the year, depending on availability of places. Children progress through three stages of Tounton Nursery School from ages 0-4. From here, they will move up into the first year of the Pre-Prep in the September following their fourth birthday.

Early Years Curriculum:
In Taunton Nursery School and Reception we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Principles. The principles which guide the work of all early years practitioners are grouped into four themes:

- A Unique Child
- Positive Relationships
- Enabling Environments
- Learning and Development

These four guiding themes work together to underpin effective practice in the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The Learning and Development section identifies the developing knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes that children will need if they are to achieve the early learning goals by the end of the EYFS.

Pre-Prep Curriculum:
The children within the Pre-Prep will experience a variety of teaching methods. The Curriculum will encourage a progressive development of skills, the children will be given opportunities for investigative and practical activities, alongside structured play and collaborative work. We aim to develop the children as learners, encouraging them in how to work, as well as how to play, and cooperate with others.

LIPA - Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts

The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) opened in 1996 to forge a new approach to performing arts training. We offer performing arts classes for 4 - 19 years old in our part-time performing arts academy called LIPA 4:19. We have over 450 students who attend LIPA 4:19 every week and we have been blessed with a huge pool of talent from around the North. Due to its popularity, we opened a new satellite school at Maghull High School in September 2008. providing training in acting, singing and dancing.

The arts and entertainment industry needs multi-disciplined all-round performers, and LIPA 4:19 is designed to make you just that. Here you learn to sing, dance and act with fully qualified and enthusiastic tutors, who all have professional experience. All classes are carefully designed to reflect the correct stage of performing arts development for each age group, from young children through to teenagers.

Being based at the world-famous Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, LIPA 4:19 also offers fantastic facilities for the students and a safe and encouraging learning environment.
