Lake House Academy:
Located in Flat Rock (near Asheville), North Carolina, Lake House Academy is a private, therapeutic boarding school for girls ages 10 through 14. A Lake House girl is typically struggling at home and academically with a number of behaviors, such as: Immaturity, Inability to Control Anger, Defiance Toward Parents, Tantrums, Lack of Respect, Inability to Adhere to Rules or Limits, and more. Programs are tailored to the developmental, social, emotional and academic needs of pre-adolescent and young adolescent girls with a focus on helping girls gain the skills they need to be successful in the home, at school and with friends.

Residential Therapeutic Programs for Girls Ages 10-14:
We combine a nurturing, family like setting with a challenging education designed around the particular needs of our students. We provide young girls who are struggling with family, school, social and emotional difficulties with a safe, supportive and structured home like setting.

Girls will be engaged in a daily, structured schedule filled with academic and therapeutic challenges. Students learn to study independently while setting and achieving their goals. The confidence and self esteem developed through the "level" process.

The weekly schedule includes:
- Monday – Friday 8:25 – 2:45, with 45 minute classes, 7 periods, class changes, study hall, all core curriculum, physical education and health, arts and music

Level Group Work:
All students work through 3 phases of “Levels” to reach Graduation:
- Respect
- Accountability
- Community
- Integrity
- Trust
- Leadership

Group Sessions:
All students will participate in 4 group sessions per week focusing on their specific goals and expectations of current level. Groups include Behavior/Coping Skills, Relationship Skills, Art Therapy, Family, Leadership and Team Building, Community and Culture.

Cherokee Creek Boys School (CCBS), located in Westminster, South Carolina, is an accredited, therapeutic boarding school for boys with ADHD, anxiety issues, and other teen behavior problems. CCBS offers middle-school programs for boys aged 11-15 in a warm, positive, nurturing learning community.

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18 from North Carolina and across the United States.

In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.

With a passion for helping young people in crisis, our clinical, educational, and operations staff are among the best in the country.

We are a small program (40 students) which means that we are able to provide a truly unique and customized approach for every student.

Typically our on site student to staff ratio is 5:1. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.

We create a customized program for each student that requires a minimum of 3 months. However, best results for lasting success are realized through 6+ months of treatment.

TWAI graduates average a 3.5 GPA. It is common for a student to complete 1.5 years of course work in 1 year.
