Residential Life:

Image of Catholic Boarding School in Minnesota- The Cotter Residence Center provides boarding for International and American students in grades 9-12. At Cotter you will learn in a community of students from across the world, all here with one purpose: to learn in a rigorous academic environment where you are respected and challenged.

- The single rooms are modern, fully furnished with a sink and ample closet space. Internet support and telephone service are also available in each room. The Cotter Residence Center is staffed with a Director of Residence Life and seven adult staff members who reside on each floor and provide a safe and secure home away from home for sixty young men and women.

- The students are welcome to use the tennis courts, basketball court and various athletic fields on the campus. During the winter months they are provided with an opportunity for reduced fee memberships to the local YMCA for swimming, exercise and basketball facilities.

International Students:

Cotter students develop and grow within a challenging, supportive, faith-based learning environment. Students are encouraged to take a new look at themselves to discover skills and talents that will contribute toward their future success. A wide variety of extracurricular activities are offered that enhance the Cotter experience for each student.

Saint John's Preparatory School

Saint John's Preparatory School is a Benedictine, co-educational, boarding and day college preparatory school for students in Grades 6-12, with boarding options beginning in the 9th Grade.

Saint John's Prep is conveniently located 10 minutes west of St. Cloud within the 2,700 acres of woods and lakes of Saint John's University's campus in Collegeville, Stearns County, central Minnesota.

Saint Croix High School

Located in West St. Paul, MN, St. Croix Lutheran High School is a private, college preparatory day & boarding school for grades 9-12.

International students and students from Twin Cities metro area, southern Minnesota, and western Wisconsin enjoy a complete education at St. Croix. Our international program has about 60 students from 10 different countries, with on-site housing & boarding for International and long-distance American students.

Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI)

Serving troubled teen boys and girls ages 13-18 from North Dakota and across the U.S, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is a family-run, therapeutic boarding school.

Located on a peaceful and safe 150 acre campus in northwestern Montana, TWAI combines the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

We have been providing an extremely high standard of care to our students and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We offer help for the following issues: behavioral problems, poor academic performance, low self-worth, addictions, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.  

With a passion for helping young people in crisis, our clinical, educational, and operations staff are among the best in the country.

With a student to staff ration of 5:1, we are a small program (40 students) which allows us to provide a truly unique and customized approach for each student.

TWAI requires a commitment of 3 months. However, best results for lasting success are realized through 6+ months of treatment. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.

We accept insurance which ultimately allows parents the affordability of treatment.

• The International School of Minnesota (ISM) provides an activity-based summer camp for students from preschool through to Grade 9.
