Shattuck-St Mary's (SSM) is a co-educational Episcopal Church-affiliated boarding & day school offering grades 6-12 in Faribault MN, 50 miles south of Minneapolis. Founded in 1858, the same year that Minnesota became a state, Shattuck-St. Mary’s School has built its reputation for excellence on a foundation of history, tradition and exceptional academics. Our 439 students in grades 6-12 come from 34 states and 22 countries to pursue a rigorous college preparatory curriculum.

The Boarding Experience:
Our boarding environment provides a unique experience for all students involved in the Shattuck-St. Mary’s community. Learning to live independently, to interact in a close-knit community, and to problem-solve with a roommate are all skills that students at SSM cultivate during their time on campus.

Diploma Program:
To qualify for a Shattuck-St. Mary's School diploma, a student must successfully accumulate 64 credits in grades 9-12.
In addition, a student must complete his or her senior year on the Shattuck-St. Mary's campus unless study off-campus or abroad has been arranged with the approval of the Academic Committee and the Head of School.
How many SSM graduates go straight to college?
On average, about 90 percent of our graduating seniors go directly to college and 75 percent of our seniors are admitted into their first-choice college or university.
Eventually, 100 percent of our graduates attend four-year colleges and universities. Most of the students who do not go directly to college choose either to play juniors hockey or study abroad.
Is Shattuck-St. Mary's School religiously affiliated?
Shattuck-St. Mary’s School is affiliated with the Episcopal Church. Students of all denominations are accepted and are encouraged to apply. Students attend chapel during the week and Sunday service is optional for all boarding students.
Our school Chaplain will help students find nearby instruction or worship services in their own faith for weekend worship.

Located in West St. Paul, MN, St. Croix Lutheran High School is a private, college preparatory day & boarding school for grades 9-12. Cotter High School is a Catholic boarding and day college preparatory school for Grades 7-12 located in Winona MN, just 1 hour east of Rochester. Our boarding program caters for students in Grades 9-12. Our diverse school community includes students with a wide range of nationalities, talents and interests. Students receive an excellent education with AP and college prep courses with close attention given to their individual needs.

Saint John's Preparatory School is a Benedictine, co-educational, boarding and day college preparatory school for students in Grades 6-12, with boarding options beginning in the 9th Grade. Saint John's Prep is conveniently located 10 minutes west of St. Cloud within the 2,700 acres of woods and lakes of Saint John's University's campus in Collegeville, Stearns County, central Minnesota.
We offer a US curriculum with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, advanced placement courses, PSAT, SAT, ACT prep courses, a study abroad program in Austria, and English for international students.
Saint John's Prep is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States and the North Central Association (ISACS). Students will find a safe and secure environment at Saint John's with full-time adult staff supervising and mentoring the students.

Located in Cedar County in southeast Iowa, Scattergood Friends School is a co-educational Quaker boarding and day school founded in 1890. We provide a college preparatory education with AP courses, SAT and ACT to students in Grades 9-12 from around the world. Unique in our approach, we emphasize living in community and are devoted to fostering the growth of the whole person. As part of our program, we also offer an independent study program where students choose topics of interest, a laptop program, and month long trips.

With a beautiful and safe location in the Wisconsin Northwoods, North Cedar Academy (NCA) is a dual-enrolment private boarding high school for U.S. and international students in Grades 9-12.Students graduate with a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts (AA) degree from the University of Wisconsin Colleges (UWC). All of our courses are taught at Advanced Placement (AP) or college level.

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18 from Wisconsin and across the United States.In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).
TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We create a customized program for each student that requires a minimum of 3 months. However, best results for lasting success are realized through 6+ months of treatment.
TWAI graduates average a 3.5 GPA. It is common for a student to complete 1.5 years of course work in 1 year.
