Cherry Gulch:
Cherry Gulch is an accredited therapeutic boarding school for boys ages 10 to 14 with various difficulties including ADHD, learning differences, oppositional-defiance, depression, low self-esteem, poor motivation, anger, anxiety, family conflict, and other behavioral and emotional problems. Located beneath the western slope of the Rocky Mountains near Boise, Idaho, in the North West Pacific region of the United States (east of Washington State), we are equipped to handle very difficult students as well as "softer" students with more internalizing behaviors.

We are also prepared academically to work with students with learning difficulties and those that are brilliant academically. Our goal is to provide early intervention and prevention to help these boys reach their full potential and to become well-rounded pro social young men.

Accreditation:
We are licensed by the State of Idaho, our school is accredited by Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, and we have been selected by Woodbury Reports for their "Excellence in Education" award two years in a row. Our chess team was State Champions in the novice division in both 2008, 2009 & 2010.

Therapeutic Environment:
A unique therapeutic environment is provided where every experience is educational and therapeutic in a fun purposeful environment. We strive to entwine the most effective therapeutic strategies into the student’s daily life.

We offer at least 10 hours of scheduled therapeutic services a week but much more therapy takes place as life unfolds and a therapeutic moment arises. Our therapeutic services take shape as creative approaches to empirically-based treatments and include individual, group, and family therapy, with experienced doctorate and masters level therapists.

We also offer equine assisted psychotherapy and a wide variety of active experiential learning and therapeutic activities.

Location:
Cherry Gulch is located on 220 pristine acres of the North West Pacific region of the United States, in Emmett, Idaho, a safe, peaceful, quiet, little farming and ranching community located near Boise, ID.

Another benefit of being located near Boise is easy access to the airport. Boise offers the largest airport in the state which makes it convenient for parents to fly in to visit their children. For those with a private plane Emmett has an airport with a 3800 foot long runway.

Provo Canyon School
Courses / Programs
Provo Canyon School has been providing mental health care for boys and girls ages 12-17 for nearly 40 years. We are one of the nation’s largest and most experienced treatment facilities for youth.

Provo Canyon School’s alumni and friends are its largest source of referrals, and our caring professionals operate in a unique environment which helps make a positive difference in a teenager’s life.

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (NAAS) has endorsed the school. The National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) is also an associate of the school. We have a 242-bed facility with two different campus sites for boys and girls.

Provo is the location of the boy's campus; the girl's campus is situated at Orem. We provide services to students who are between the ages of 11 and 17 years of age (7th to 12th graders) with a variety of different clinical needs.

The average length of stay for a Provo Canyon School student is 10 months, however this can vary considerably depending on the clinical issues of the student. All of our teachers are special education certified.
Academic Programs for 7th to 12th Graders:

- Our fully accredited program and small class sizes are designed to meet each child's individual needs and to facilitate the ability to work with learning differences.

- We offer comprehensive academic programs with over 140 different academic classes taught within an 8:1 ratio.

- Our Early Adolescent Program is designed to meet the unique developmental needs of boys ages 12 to 14.
Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI)
Courses / Programs
Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18.

We welcome students from Montana, across the United States, and from around the world (TWAI is authorized to issue 1-20's for international students).

In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.

With a passion for helping young people in crisis, our clinical, educational, and operations staff are among the best in the country.

We are a small program (40 students) which means that we are able to provide a truly unique and customized approach for every student.

Typically our on site student to staff ratio is 5:1. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.

We create a customized program for each student that requires a minimum of 3 months. However, best results for lasting success are realized through 6+ months of treatment.

TWAI graduates average a 3.5 GPA. It is common for a student to complete 1.5 years of course work in 1 year.
Clearview Horizon School for Girls
Courses / Programs
Clearview Horizon School for Girls is a therapeutic boarding school designed for girls between the ages of 13 to 21 years. We are located in Sandpoint in Bonner County, Idaho, set in the beautiful Montana mountains.

Clearview is for girls who are struggling with self-esteem, motivation, purpose, the influence of a negative peer environment, recreational drug use, an eating disorder, or some other destructive behavioral pattern.

Through our unique Christian-based program, students find the strength to overcome their disorders. Students attend school, receive tutoring when necessary, and participate in after school activities.

More than 500 students have trusted their care to Clearview Horizon since 1996. Clearview offers a program made up of skilled and experienced professionals who help young women struggling with life problems.

Clearview is fully accredited through the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC). It has been our mission to help young girls rejoin their families and face the world better equipped with the skills necessary to succeed in life.
Therapeutic boarding school program for girls aged 13 - 21 years:

- The Clearview Experience is a controlled, therapeutic boarding school environment which emphasizes Athletic, Academic, and Emotional fitness.

West Ridge Academy

West Ridge Academy is a youth rehabilitation boarding school for boys and girls (ages 9-18) in West Jordan, a suburb of Salt Lake City in Utah.

Since 1964, West Ridge Academy (formerly known as the Utah Boys Ranch) has been helping troubled teens and bringing hope to struggling young men, young women and their families by providing clinical services, a quality residential education and experiences which promote spiritual awareness, personal accountability and change of heart.

Appropriate candidates are adolescent males and females, ages 9-18, with a history of soft to moderate emotional and behavioral problems, low self-esteem, academic underachievement, substance abuse and family conflict. The school is Christian but non-denominational.

We help troubled adolescents make real, lifelong and sometimes life saving changes. From the earliest days, the organization recognized the positive effect its program had on young men who were struggling academically, emotionally and socially.

Today, the academy has served more than 25,000 students, has expanded to include separate and distinct campuses for boys and girls, and continues to bring hope and healing to families across the world.

Montana Academy, Kalispell
Courses / Programs
Montana Academy is a private therapeutic boarding school for young people ages 14 to 17 at crisis points in their lives.

Many of our students have endured traumas, struggled with learning difficulties or school or social failure. Many have emotional symptoms such as depression, tantrums or anxiety that have disrupted their ability to function on a day-to-day basis.

We are located in Marion, in the northwestern area of Montana, 40 miles southwest of Kalispell on US Highway 2.

As a therapeutic boarding school, we emphasize both treatment and education. We endeavor to provide sophisticated clinical expertise in a simple environment.

On a remote Montana ranch, the school combines an emotional growth curriculum designed for psychologically troubled youth with a dual academic program—grounded in practical tasks to suit students disenchanted with and disengaged from conventional classrooms.
Therapeutic Boarding School Program for Troubled Teens (Ages 14-17)

- We offer a broad range of classes in English, history, mathematics, science, art and foreign language. Honors and Advance Placement are available in many classes.

- Students take three classes and earn 5 credits per subject passed in a 12-week block curriculum.

- The Academy also offers the PSAT, SAT and assistance with college applications.
White River Academy
Courses / Programs
White River Academy is an all boys boarding school for troubled teens ages 13-17 in Delta, Utah, which is a small farming community about 2 ½ hours from Salt Lake City.

We are a small family oriented campus, and are able to spend more time with each student and make sure their problems do not go un-noticed.

All students participate in a rigorous daily schedule consisting of emotional growth, Positive Peer Culture group sessions, self-esteem building, goal setting and goal review sessions, service projects, daily chores, life skills and independent living such as cooking and cleaning.

Students also participate in Individual Therapy twice per month and once per month the counselor discusses updated goals and objectives with the family.

Students are in class six days a week so as to sharpen academic skills in many of the basic courses like Math, Science, English, History and more.

Our goal is to offer an opportunity where the family as a whole can participate in assisting their loved one to accomplish the goals that have been established within the program.
Therapeutic Boarding School for Boys Ages 13-17:

- Independent teen study curriculum that covers Grades 6-12 as well as college and GED preparation.

- Our special focus is on helping troubled teens by using the Positive Peer Culture Model.

- We offer a results based Program that includes: Academics, Health and Therapy, Family Support, Self Esteem Building, Positive Peer Culture groups

- Individual counseling, prime for life drug and alcohol prevention program and Recreation Therapy.
