Boarding School for Troubled Teens in Montana

Montana Academy:
Montana Academy is located in Marion, in the northwestern area of Montana, 40 miles southwest of Kalispell on US Highway 2. We are a private therapeutic boarding school for young people ages 14 to 17 at crisis points in their lives.

Many of our students have endured traumas, struggled with learning difficulties or school or social failure. Many have emotional symptoms such as depression, tantrums or anxiety that have disrupted their ability to function on a day-to-day basis.

Location and Facilities:

Montana Academy is located on Lost Horizon Ranch, 40 miles southwest of Kalispell in northwest Montana. The land, 400 fenced acres of pasture and sloping forest, is flanked by thousands of acres of mountain timber, meadow and three creeks run through it.

Boarding:
Students are housed in single-sex dorms ¼ mile apart. The campus includes a schoolhouse library and computer lab, an indoor gymnasium, a riding arena, a science lab and an art studio, as well as a grand new lodge housing kitchen/dining hall together with living room, office space and a student lounge.

The original ranch house now contains administrative offices and classrooms. This self-contained rustic community is an ideal setting for many in need of a break from a destructive, over-stimulated world.

Dorms:
Our spacious dormitories provide comfortable living arrangements for our students. The buildings feature bright interiors and spectacular views of the surrounding hills and streams.

Both the girls’ and boys’ dormitories include large bedrooms, washrooms, common rooms for students to relax as well as staff offices.

The Lodge:
The centerpiece of our campus is the lodge. This beautiful log-cabin style building serves many purposes, housing our kitchen and dining room, student lounge, music room, as well as therapist and team leader offices.
