In Balance Ranch Academy is a therapeutic boarding school for troubled boys aged 13-17, in beautiful southern Arizona, less than one hour from Tucson. It was developed around a clinically sophisticated model that effectively blends traditional therapy and the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Additionally, the program incorporates research-based relapse prevention techniques, equine therapy and other experiential treatment modalities. In Balance Ranch serves young men who are suffering from substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders.
Our academic courses are fully accredited; students may choose to earn a high school diploma while they are with us, or transfer their earned credits to another school to complete their educational program.

Provo Canyon School has been providing mental health care for boys and girls ages 12-17 for nearly 40 years. We are one of the nation’s largest and most experienced treatment facilities for youth.

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (NAAS) has endorsed the school. Provo is the location of the boy's campus; the girl's campus is situated at Orem. We provide services to students who are between the ages of 11 and 17 years of age (7th to 12th graders) with a variety of different clinical needs.
The average length of stay for a Provo Canyon School student is 10 months, however this can vary considerably depending on the clinical issues of the student. All of our teachers are special education certified.

Spring Ridge Academy is an all-girls therapeutic boarding school serving students ages 13 - 17 in grades 9-12 in Spring Valley AZ (18 miles southeast of Prescott). White River Academy is an all boys boarding school for troubled teens ages 13-17 in Delta, Utah, which is a small farming community about 2 ½ hours from Salt Lake City.
We are a small family oriented campus, and are able to spend more time with each student and make sure their problems do not go un-noticed.
All students participate in a rigorous daily schedule consisting of emotional growth, Positive Peer Culture group sessions, self-esteem building, goal setting and goal review sessions, service projects, daily chores, life skills and independent living such as cooking and cleaning.
Students also participate in Individual Therapy twice per month and once per month the counselor discusses updated goals and objectives with the family.
Students are in class six days a week so as to sharpen academic skills in many of the basic courses like Math, Science, English, History and more.
Our goal is to offer an opportunity where the family as a whole can participate in assisting their loved one to accomplish the goals that have been established within the program.
