North Cedar Academy (NCA) is a dual enrollment private high school situated on ninety-six acres along the Flambeau River in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Image of North Cedar Academy North Cedar Academy is slated to open for the 2014-2015 school year, and applications are now being accepted. NCA is a private, 9-12 high school, where students have the opportunity to graduate with a high school diploma as well as a Associate of Arts & Sciences degree from the University of Wisconsin.

This innovative dual-credit program not only prepares students for the rigors of higher education, it allows them to earn a bachelors degree within two years of high school graduation, and a masters degree within four.

This past winter’s frigid temperatures in Wisconsin were good for one thing, a trip to Wisconsin’s biggest winter attraction- the Apostle Island Ice Caves.

Students geared up and headed out to Lake Superior, where for the first time in 5 years, ice was thick enough to make the two-mile round trip trek across the frozen waters of Lake Superior.

People came from all over the U.S. and the world to visit the beautiful ice formation that adorned the cave this year, bringing a welcome economic boom to the small town of Bayfield.

Beginning at the end of July North Cedar will be hosting two 2-week English Immersion Camps for students entering the 6th, 7th and 8th grades.

The goal of the camp is to develop and expand each camper’s English language skills while engaging the students with fun outdoor recreation on the beautiful 94 acre North Cedar Academy Campus in northern Wisconsin.

Some of the activities that the will campers experience are boating, canoeing, swimming, fishing, camping, hiking, orienteering, and cookouts.

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18 from Wisconsin and across the United States.

In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.
