Educational Programs from Pre-K through 12th Grade:
Preschool / Kindergarten:
GCS is a great place for preschoolers and kindergarten students. We offer full academic programs for both including extended daycare hours. The A Beka Book curriculum is used throughout the preschool and kindergarten years.
Classes are available for children beginning at age three. The K3 classes offer instruction in Letters and Sounds,Numbers, Phonics, Reading, Art and Bible.
Children in K4 learn to do more with their hands in writing skills. Your child will learn to write the alpahabet, his name and numbers.
Kindergarten is one of the strongest of all GCS Programs. Your child wil learn to read, by a solid phonics program following the A Beka curriculum. Children learn to add, subtract and do other mathematicsl computations.
Elementary School:
In elementary school children learn reading, spelling, history, math, languages and other activities to help him/her in life.
The learning process is challenging and stimulating. There are plenty of
opportunities for fun and excitement.
Middle School:
Middle school is an exciting place. The courses taken during these years are geared at preparing students for high school.
A Beka Book is used for most academic subjects including English, history, math science, health. We also offer music and art classes.
High School:
A full college preparatory curriculum is offered from grades 9-12 covering all the requirements for high school graduation.
Advanced Placement Courses:
AP courses are available in Math, English and Science.

Situated in Hampton VA, and serving the surrounding York County communities, Joyful Care Children's Center is a licensed Childcare Center that provides year-round, top-notch care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
