Greenbrier Christian Academy, Chesapeake:
Greenbrier Christian Academy is located in Chesapeake, an independent city in the South Hampton Roads portion of the Hampton Roads metropolitan area of eastern Virginia. Since 1983, Greenbrier Christian Academy has served the Hampton Roads area as an independent Christian school, providing a Christ-centered, biblically based education for students in grades P3-12. We offer a college preparatory curriculum with advanced placement courses, college prep SAT and ACT as well as an extensive fine arts program.

Early Childhood Center:
It is our goal, in the Early Childhood Center, to partner with parents in the education of their children while stimulating physical, mental, emotional and social development in a Christ-centered environment. Our curriculum is designed with thematic units and carefully planned hands-on activities that will meet these needs in a way that is both fun and challenging to the children.

Age appropriate lesson plans promote learning in the subjects of; Bible, math, language, science, and social studies while incorporating a biblical worldview throughout. We are fostering a love of learning that will carry over to success in their future learning experiences.

Lower School:
Our goal in the Lower School is to offer a well-rounded program. We want to challenge the boys and girls to excel academically while instilling in them a life-long love for learning.

By offering specialty classes such as Computer, Spanish and Library, the students are given the opportunity to develop a wide variety of skills.

Activities such as our Little Gators Sports program, annual Art Extravaganza and wide variety of musical performances allow the students to not only acquire, but also exhibit their God-given gifts and abilities.

Middle School:
In the Middle School we desire to provide a learning environment in which the student gains not only the intellectual knowledge provided through core classes but also the social skills such as individual responsibility, respect for others

Upper School:
Greenbrier Christian Academy students, in accordance with established guidelines of the Commonwealth of Virginia, are required to complete 25 credits to earn a General Academic Diploma and 26 credits to earn a College Preparatory Diploma.

Advanced Placment Courses:
The following Advanced Placement courses are offered based upon student interest and staffing availability: AP English Literature and Composition, AP English Language and Composition, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, AP U.S. History, and AP Government.

College Prep Courses:
The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) is taken by juniors each fall. The purpose of this test is to provide an indication of national placement when compared with other college-bound juniors in the United States.

The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) provides an indication of national placement of college-bound seniors. Most colleges use the SAT as one factor in determining acceptance. An SAT score must be on file before a senior can receive his diploma from the Academy.
