Digital Media Academy - Summer Digital Art & Technology Camp:
Digital Media Academy (DMA) offers Summer Digital Art & Technology Camps for Kids & Teens at Stanford University, UC San Diego, UCLA, University of Texas at Austin, Drexel University, Swarthmore College, Harvard University, University of British Columbia, University of Chicago, and George Washington University.

DMA is an Apple Authorized Training Center. Teens are eligible to take courses at DMA that lead to industry certification in Final Cut Pro and other professional content areas. DMA teen courses are accredited by Stanford University Continuing Studies and offered for optional Stanford Continuing Studies credit.

Organized activities include group sports and trips to nearby entertainment venues, such as movie theaters, bowling alleys, miniature golf courses or arcades. Weekend activities may include professional sporting events, amusement parks, touring nearby cities and more. Teens living on campus receive breakfast, lunch and dinner in a university dining hall.

Summer Digital Art & Technology Camps:

DMA offers day and overnight courses in the US and Canada in weekly and multi-week sessions for youth, age 6-18. Courses accommodate a wide variety of digital media interests in a more sophisticated learning environment than other summer computer camps. All courses are project-based and taught by industry experts and award-winning instructors in state-of-the-art classroom facilities. An average student to instructor ratio of 7 to 1 allows for plenty of individual attention as you explore, create and immerse yourself in an environment that is more like a production studio than a classroom.

- Introductory to advanced weekly sessions include: 3D Video Game Design; Hands-on Filmmaking; Video Editing; Robotics; 3D Character Modeling; Flash Scripting; C++ Programming.

- Multi-Week Certification Programs available for teens in 3D Game Design, Hands-On Filmmaking, and Maya Character Animation

Accommodation:

At all DMA University locations, kids & teens may commute or stay on campus in university housing in doubles, separated by age and gender. A dedicated DMA staff team lives in the dorm, coordinating evening and weekend activities while ensuring a fun and safe experience for everyone. Our day and night staff are separate.

Based in Saratoga in the Santa Clara County area close to San Jose, Vision Tech Camps provides summer tech camps for kids & teens in San Francisco South Bay. We take great pride in creating hands-on and project-based camps that provides an outstanding summer educational opportunities for kids and teens to learn technology.

Each week our camps focus on in-depth technology exploration, open-ended investigations, and student-led projects in order to ensure kids are not merely taught, but are engaged throughout the entire process.

Our goal is that students are inspired to explore and further investigate their interests in tech field throughout the year - and perhaps gain new interests over at summer camp.

Academy by the Sea/Camp Pacific, located in Carlsbad, north of San Diego, California, is an ACA-Accredited Camp offering enriching academic and recreational summer programs for boys and girls ages 7-17. During their stay, all students and campers receive specialized instruction in their areas of interest. UCLA Sci|Art NanoLab, Los Angeles
Courses / Programs
The Sci | Art NanoLab, at UCLA, Los Angeles, is a highly competitive summer program for high school juniors and seniors interested in collaborating with diverse and notable minds to challenge traditional, polarized perspectives of the arts and sciences. Throughout the 2-week intensive program, students will make connections between cutting edge scientific research, popular culture and contemporary arts. Lab visits, workshops, hands-on experiments, and meetings with world renowned scientists will be balanced with visits to museums, daily movie screenings and meetings with famous contemporary artists who collaborate with scientists.

Small groups of students are taught by a scientist / artist team with frequent visits from faculty in wide range of disciplines. Sci | Art NanoLab students will benefit from exposure and collaboration with art and science faculty and students participating in this program's team-based interdisciplinary nanoscience research.
