Rock-It Science, Santa Clara:
Rock-it Science is based in Santa Clara in the heart of Silicon Valley in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Rock-it Science provides project-oriented science programs that are creative, challenging, and fun! In a Rock-it Science session, children experience cooperative learning and playful science activities. The instructors utilize storytelling and innovative science experiments to capture the children's attention and imagination.
Our Summer Science Camps are based on four different themes depending on the session:

- What to Do When Vampire Bunnies Attack
- Outsmarting Evil Mister Fred
- Evil Mister Fred's Dungeon
For your convenience, each camp is offered four times during the summer.

We offer our exciting science lessons in a variety of formats. All of them are based on The Seven Secrets of Rock-it Science, a unique teaching method that combines hands-on science with storytelling. Choose the program that’s right for you!
In-Classroom Lessons - Rock-It Science empowers teachers by sending our instructors right into their classrooms to present our science lessons during the regular school day. We provide exciting science enrichment for the students, and the teachers can choose to either participate or just observe. This is more effective than after-school programs, because the classroom teacher can see what the students are learning and can incorporate the Rock-it Science experience into their regular lessons. Available to K-6 classrooms in public and private elementary schools.
Field Trips - For smaller groups (ten to twenty children), schedule an exciting two-to-four-hour field trip to our Santa Clara laboratory classroom. Students get to experience a complete Rock-it Science lesson each hour.
G.A.T.E. Classes - We offer special field trip classes to serve the needs of Gifted and Talented students.
Teacher Training Videos - Teachers can learn how to present Rock-it Science lessons in their own classrooms. It's easier than you think! These videos show actual classes with real students doing the lessons. Teacher Guides are also available.
Home School - Homeschool parents have found Rock-It Science to be an incredible resource for innovative and creative science instruction for their children. Classes are held once a week in our laboratory-classroom in Santa Clara, CA.

Rolling Robots provides 1-week tech Summer camp programs for children and teens ages 6+. With campuses in Glendale and Palos Verdes in the Greater Los Angeles area, kids at Rolling Robots have the opportunity to transform the ideas of their imagination into reality through STEM-based engineering, programming, and robotics programs.Our summer camps feature less than 6 students per instructor and no more than 12 students total per session. Program yoUr Future (PUF) is a non-profit outreach program that aims to raise greater awareness for women in technology by complimenting San Francsico Bay Area middle school girls’ education with programming basics using AppInventor and Scratch, networking skills, and fieldtrips to local museums or tech companies. We provide Saturday workshops and summer camps to introduce girls in 7th or 8th grade to computing, information technology, and careers in IT. Programs are hosted in high-tech and top research sites, including the International Computer Science Institute and the University of California Berkeley.
PUF will also cover topics such as How to Write a Resume, STEM Year-long Opportunities, and High School Success & Leadership. In addition, participants will interact with and learn from IT and STEM mentors and key note speakers AND participate in mock interviews.
Through fun CS-related hands-on activities, they will not only have the opportunity to explore interdisciplinary applications and acquire presentation skills but will also be able to keep their creation as a souvenir! The participants are also challenged to identify a social issue or problem and design a solution integrating the use of information technology.
No programming experience or prior computer science knowledge is necessary to participate. The girls will form a strong community and enduring friendships. Students will also have the opportunity to receive prizes and scholarship money.
