College Preparation Courses:
PSAT Prep:
The PSAT offers students the opportunity to measure their strengths and weaknesses in preparation for the SAT. The Practice SAT is not used in the college admissions process; however, high scores may qualify you for a National Merit Scholarship. This prestigious recognition opens the door to a variety of scholarship opportunities.
SAT Prep:
The SAT is the most important test in a high school student’s career. It is the “X-factor” in determining an applicant’s admission to most institutions of higher learning. The exam covers critical reading, mathematics, and writing. Colleges and universities use this aptitude test-score as a means of evaluating an applicants’ ability to succeed at the university-level.
SAT II Subject Test:
Colleges use the SAT Subject Tests to assess your skills in particular subject fields, such as English, history, math, science, and foreign languages. The SAT Subject Tests are also used for course placement. Typically, only the most com
petitive schools require SAT II score submission in order to measure a student’s work capabilities at the college-level work.
AP Test:
Advanced Placement Tests cover a wide range of subjects including, math, science, English, art, music, language, economics, history, and politics. AP Tests give students the opportunity to demonstrate their academic proficiency and earn college credit. High AP scores are rewarded with class exemptions and advanced course placement in college.
ACT
The ACT measures high school students’ abilities to compete at the college-level. It is a multiple choice exam as widely accepted as the SAT. The test covers Mathematics, Science, English, and reading. An optional writing component assesses students’ organizational and writing skills.

Enrolling your child in day care or preschool at an early age means that you are preparing them for educational success in elementary school. Early childhood development teaches important elements associated with quality performance in school. Our teachers work on developing and modifying routines for infants, providing language development for toddlers, and teaching the fundamentals of art, math, and science for preschoolers. The Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts, also known as BAVPA, is a magnet performing arts high school in New York State & is part of Buffalo's public school system. The school offers classes for Grades 5 to 12 and requires students to apply (as if for a job) in the field of their desired "major concentration". Majors taught in the school are Visual Art, Television and Film Production, Dance, Theater, and Music (vocal or instrumental).Since its beginnings at 333 Clinton Street, the school has grown in numbers, as well as in depth.
