The Masters School, New York:
The Masters School is a co-ed day and boarding school that provides a first class preparatory curriculum for 5th-12th grade students, with boarding beginning from the 9th grade. Situated on 96 magnificent acres overlooking the Hudson River in Dobbs Ferry NY, The Masters School offers a safe learning environment and one of the few boarding school experiences in close proximity to New York City. A thoughtfully designed residential life program ensures that all the experiences students would have at home are part of campus life.
- Experienced & Caring Faculty
Each dorm has four “parents” who create a warm and homelike environment. Faculty are available day and night and become familiar with the details of students’ lives so they can address any issues as they arise.
Students, in turn, know they can always receive sound advice from a dorm parent. In addition, each boarding student has a dedicated faculty advisor who lives on campus.
- Extra-Curricular Activities
On weekends, boarders engage in a range of on-campus activities, including art studio, open gym, concerts, coffee houses, movies, dances, and dorm challenges.
Off campus, students enjoy trips to New York City, nearby ski areas, horseback riding trails, local shops, and Westchester County’s historic sites and attractions.

The Stony Brook School, located in Stony Brook (50 miles East of NYC), on the beautiful north shore of Long Island, New York, is a college preparatory, co-educational boarding and day school for grades 7-12. SBS is home to approximately 180 boarders every year. Our desire is for our students to learn and grow as they live together in a safe and comfortable community. There are currently 7 single-gender residential halls that house our boarding students and approximately 14 to 15 faculty families.
Students are trained to be leaders with integrity and virtue. The Stony Brook School offers an academic program that is challenging, comprehensive, and that recognizes the interconnected-ness of academic disciplines. Founded in 1796, Oakwood Friends School is New York State's oldest co-educational boarding and day school. We are an independent college preparatory school serving Grades 6-12 located in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County in New York's historic Hudson River Valley. Situated in Houghton, Allegany County in western NY state, Houghton Academy is a Christian boarding and day school enrolling students in Grades 6-12. Most boarding students at Houghton Academy live in one of the two residence halls. Both dorms offer a secure, traditional residential setting. Two students most often share a room, there are shared common areas for relaxation and recreation, and the buildings are staffed by full-time employees.
An alternative to or traditional dorms is found in three Staff Houses we own close to school. These homes serve as the full-time, traditional residences of our employees families, but each house has been configured to accommodate students.

Freedom Village USA is a residential home for troubled teens and young adults (ages 14-21) situated in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of western Central New York. Our boys and girls commit to a year in the program, where they find love and encouragement from experienced staff, a self-paced academic curriculum to prepare them for the future, and myriad opportunities to learn, grow and give back.
Many of our students have been involved in drug and alcohol abuse, have attempted suicide, or lived in abusive home situations including physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Some have turned to lives of crime after their families and society abandoned them.
