Located in East Hampton and Bridgehampton, on Long Island, New York, Ross School is a private, accredited, day and boarding school offering a Grades 7-12 boarding option in addition to a K-12 day program. For students entering Grades 7–12 who live outside eastern Long Island and want to attend Ross School, boarding options are available in family-style housing with faculty house parents.

* Students in grades 9-11 are placed in the mathematics course which best suits their academic needs. Twelfth grade students may choose from several electives in mathematics. Three years of mathematics is required for all students. Students are strongly urged to take four years of mathematics.
** Students in the High School may choose from Spanish, French, or Mandarin Chinese and must successfully complete two years of study, with four full years being strongly recommended.
English as a Second Language (ESL):
Students who are learning English as their second language are integrated into the School’s unique Spiral Curriculum while improving their English proficiency through placement in skills-appropriate ESL classes.
The three levels in the ESL program—Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced—are designed to meet the needs of a variety of students and allow greater flexibility in the program. The goal of the ESL program is to move students to English fluency as quickly as possible so that they can be successful in the mainstream, college preparatory program at Ross School.
Boarding Life:
Learning to live away from home and to be independent is a major milestone for any teenager. The boarding houses are designed to give students a home-like feeling, complete with spacious bedrooms, private bathrooms, a living room, kitchen and study rooms. Ross faculty house parents reside in the boarding houses to create a safe, welcoming living environment.
Weekends are chock full of activities both on and off campus. Students follow the same daily program of study as day students. The boarding experience adds a new dimension of interaction, dialogue, cultural exchange and learning for any student.

Located in Lake Placid, Essex County, New York, North Country School is a junior co-educational boarding and day school offering a traditional curriculum for children in grades 4-9. Situated in Houghton, Allegany County in western NY state, Houghton Academy is a Christian boarding and day school enrolling students in Grades 6-12. Most boarding students at Houghton Academy live in one of the two residence halls. Both dorms offer a secure, traditional residential setting. Two students most often share a room, there are shared common areas for relaxation and recreation, and the buildings are staffed by full-time employees.
