Young Artist Residency Program @ Art Institute of Boston:
The Young Artist Residency Program (YAR) at The Art Institute of Boston (AIB) at Lesley University in Boston, MA is designed for high school students who will be entering their junior or senior year in the Fall. This intensive summer art residency program of four weeks of classes, and art-making is designed to offer a professional art college experience while living on campus. Students live in Lesley University residence halls, minutes from Harvard Square in Cambridge and study art with college professors and graduates of AIB in our Boston studios, just across the Charles River. Discover Boston, a beautiful world-class city rich in history, the arts, nearby beaches, and consistently ranked number one in the "Big City College Towns". Weekend and evening activities are organized to highlight the historic and cultural significance of Boston through visits to galleries, museums, and artist studios.

The Young Artist Residency Summer Program (YAR)
This program is for high school students who will be entering their junior or senior year in the Fall (4-week program)

- Join a thriving art college community.

Student Activities:
While living on campus, weekend and evening activities are designed to highlight the historic and cultural significance of Boston through visits to galleries, museums, and artist studios. Below is a partial list of activities from which the weekend schedule is determined.

Educational activities (museums, artists talks, studio visits) are not optional since they contribute to the 6 college credits that the program awards. Many non-educational activities are optional with alternative activities offered.

LOOP Abroad is an exclusive study abroad summer program for high school students between the ages of 15 and 18. We spend 2 days in Boston, MA before leaving for Thailand.

This summer's program is focused on ecology and conservation, and will take place in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Chiang Mai offers a chance to explore authentic Thai culture and fantastically diverse national parks, while still having modern amenities and world-class health facilities close at hand. Twenty students will live with eight faculty in a private hostel in a gated community.

During the day, the group will explore national parks, mountains, rain forests, and caves, and will publish their findings in an online wiki. Thai language classes, visits to city sites, yoga classes, and other cultural activities fill the rest of our weekdays. Faculty will help students to compose college essays about their experiences. A leadership curriculum is offered.

On the weekends, we head to activities like zip-lining, the tiger nursery, go-karts, the rooftop pool, thai cooking, and Muay Thai.. Highlights include a week living at the Elephant Nature Park and a four-day trek, staying overnight with the Karen Hill Tribe people.

Youth Empowered Action
Courses / Programs
Youth Empowered Action (YEA) Camp is a unique and inspiring residential summer leadership program in Massachusetts, California and Oregon for youth 12-17 years who want to make a difference in the world. YEA Camp Massachusetts is held at the beautiful Hilltop space of Nature’s Classroom in Charlton, an hour from Boston, and less than 3 hours from Manhattan. Our northern California camp will be held at the beautiful Quaker Center in Ben Lomond, Santa Cruz County, about two hours drive south of San Francisco. There will be two sessions in Oregon at Camp Adams in Molalla, Clackamas County, less than an hour from Portland.

At a week-long sleep-away program in a beautiful camp setting, YEA campers choose an issue of importance to them (for example, some have chosen climate change, racism, homophobia, homelessness, or animal rights) and they build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take action on that issue once they get home.
Summer Leadership Camps in MA, CA and OR:

Musica Vesuviana Festival - Italy Summer Camp
Courses / Programs
Musica Vesuviana (MV) offers an international summer music program in Italy for Italian and American student instrumentalists and vocalists of high school age. This 2-week camp takes place at the Fondazione Passarelli in Salerno, south-western Italy. Salerno is situated less than 30 miles south of Naples and 145 miles south of Rome.

Musica Vesuviana´s curriculum includes an eclectic mix of American and Italian music and musical styles, taught by American and native master teachers. All students will be involved in performances at the institute as well as in the surrounding communities, where they will be able to share their music as well immerse themselves in the rich and varied artistic culture that Italy has to offer.

Any student who is interested in music, whether it is Classical, Gospel, Jazz, Rock, Pop, or Contemporary would thrive at Musica Vesuviana. Students will have the opportunity to meet and make music with students from other states and countries. The classes will be taught in English. However, all students will immerse themselves in daily lessons of conversational Italian language taught by a native instructor.

As we are based in Massachusetts, our departure is from Boston's Logan Airport where students are accompanied by all the staff members. Upon our arrival in Naples, we will be met by an air-conditioned coach that will transport us and our luggage to the Fondazione Passarelli.

Boston Leadership Institute
Courses / Programs
Boston Leadership Institute is located in Wellesley, 15 miles west of downtown Boston in Massachusetts, and provides summer enrichment programs for high school students including Applied Physics, Biological Research, STEM Entrepreneurship, Engineering, Psychology, and Neuroscience.

Teens from the US and abroad explore Boston and engage in classroom or laboratory activities during the three-week summer programs. Gifted and advanced classes are also available with day and overnight program options available.

Students in the summer programs engage in a variety of fun-filled activities designed to promote experiential learning.

Abbey Road Programs has teamed up with the Princeton Review to offer high school students in Grades 9-12 the opportunity to stay one step ahead of the college admissions process.

Our College Admissions ACT/SAT Test Prep summer course is a two or four week intensive test and admissions program designed to tackle the parts of the admissions process that most determine your success when applying to and making the transition to college. These include Standardized testing, Essay writing, the Common Application, the college selection process, and navigating residential life on campus.

We bring together test prep and college counseling professionals to work with you daily (and one-on-one as needed) to tackle the SATs, the ACTs, and the Common Application while you experience college life living in a dorm on the Emerson College campus in downtown Boston, MA.

International Summer School at North Country School, Lake Placid NY
Courses / Programs
Located in New York State, North Country School's International Summer School (ISS) welcomes international students ages 10-14 from July 5 to August 17 for English language and American culture immersion.

Two sessions, each three weeks long, offer experiential language instruction in the morning and enriching activities and excursions in the afternoon. Our experienced teachers, small class size and campus offerings provide an exceptional opportunity to improve language proficiency and experience memorable summertime activities.

ISS is designed around individual language needs within small group instruction. Summer students engage in projects and activities that require them to utilize their rapidly developing English language skills. Summer students become proficient speakers, readers and writers. We carefully balance academics and recreation to ensure that language learning is enjoyable and applicable.

North County School is located close to the village of Lake Placid, in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. Lake Placid is situated just under 5 hours by car north of NYC.
