DCT International Hotel & Business School:
DCT International Hotel & Business School in Switzerland is located in the charming village of Vitznau, directly on the shores of the famous Lake Lucerne, just 20 Km from the city of Lucerne. All of the DCT professional staff are highly qualified and have extensive international experience in the hotel and business fields and in the fields of Culinary Arts and Culinary Management.

Students with more than one year of relevant work experience or prior culinary education can apply to waive the Foundation in European Cuisine course. Program is completed in 15-18 months. The objective of this program is to provide an intensive course of studies in the culinary arts, following the high standards of the Michelin and Gault-Millau rating systems. Students prepare traditional gourmet food items under the supervision of highly qualified, certified Chefs.

Courses:

Courses taken in this program earn academic credits that may be transferred to universities for students who wish to pursue further studies (Johnson & Wales, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Oxford Brookes), and can also earn points toward establishing or maintaining Chef's Certification from the American Culinary Federation. Students then undertake paid Swiss industry training for 6-9 months. Entry requirements: Completion of Secondary Education, Proof of High School Diploma or equivalent and Minimum 18 years of age.

European Pastry & Chocolate (EPC), Foundation in European Cuisine (FEC), European Gourmet Cuisine (EGC), plus 4 Management subjects: Bar & Beverage Management, Restaurant Management Theory, Food & Beverage Management, Human Resource Management - Operations.

DCT is accredited by NEASC at the non-degree granting level, while UMass is accredited by NEASC at the degree level.

Swiss Hotel Schools Association (ASEH), CH
The Swiss Hotel Schools Association, or "Association Suisse des Ecoles Hoteliere" (ASEH) as it is known in French, is a membership organization that was formed to bring together the leading Swiss hotel schools committed to maintaining high quality educational and professional standards. To become a member of the ASEH, each school must successfully complete a very strict application procedure, including meeting more than 100 membership criteria. Through its group of independent experts, the ASEH ensures that all members continue to meet the required quality standards.

American Culinary Federation (ACF), USA
DCT's Advanced Diploma in European Culinary Management has been fully accredited by American Culinary Federation's Accrediting Commission. This ACF accreditation allows students who complete the entire Advanced Diploma in European Culinary Management program to count the credits earned toward establishing or maintaining their own ACF certification.

Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), USA
DCT’s Advanced Diploma in Hotel & Tourism Management has been fully accredited by the US business school accreditation association, the ACBSP. The mission of the ACBSP is to advance excellence in teaching, and to encourage creativity and innovation. This accreditation allows DCT's Advanced Diploma graduates to transfer credits earned during their study at DCT to over 500 business schools and universities, primarily in North America.
