Swiss Finance Institute:
Based in both Zurich and Geneva, Swiss Finance Institute is a private foundation created by Switzerland's banking and finance community in co-operation with leading Swiss universities to support and advance research and executive education in banking and finance. As one of the major European providers of advanced executive education in banking and finance and delivering world-class research, the institute offers a wide variety of high-quality international and national executive education programmes including an executive MBA programme in Asset and Wealth Management taught in English, additional executive programmes taught in English and German, a PhD programme in finance and more.
Established in 2006, Swiss Finance Institute belongs to the most important knowledge pools of the Swiss financial centre, emerging from the integration of three institutes: The International Center FAME for Financial Asset Management and Engineering in Geneva, the Swiss Banking School in Zurich and the Stiftung Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich.
The Swiss Finance Institute programmes combine state-of-the-art knowledge and skills in management with practical experience and insights into the functioning of the financial sector. Every Swiss Finance Institute course has an intense and pragmatic curriculum. Students are exposed to the latest developments within the most important business areas and technology of the sector. The faculty has over 50 academic professors and lecturers at its disposal.
Since the Swiss Finance Institute was founded in 2006, it has become a leading research and teaching organization in the area of banking and finance. It aims to further strengthen this position by achieving top-3 status in Europe and top-10 in the world. To reach this objective, a total of 50 faculties at our partner universities are being supported with appropriate incentive, selected fundamental and applied research projects are being financed on an ongoing basis, and our PhD program in finance, which has already grown into one of the most recognized programs in the world, will continue to be strengthened.
Moreover, we want to make the Swiss Finance Institute, and thus Switzerland, the benchmark for high level executive education in banking and finance.

The Swiss Finance Institute is a research organization with a faculty of more than 50 full time researchers engaged in high level research in the field of banking and finance and related disciplines. The Swiss Finance Institute Research center aims at increasing Switzerland’s attractiveness for outstanding researchers, teachers, students and participants in executive education programs. Over the medium term, Swiss Finance Institute wants to achieve a leading position within Europe in major research areas relevant for banking and finance.
The Swiss Finance Institute has set up an Executive Education Advisory Board comprising leading specialists and experienced practitioners from the fields of education in banking and finance to oversee the strategic orientation of the courses offered and to ensure that highest standards of quality are upheld.
