The Zinzendorf schools in Königsfeld are among the largest state-recognized private schools with boarding school facilities in Germany. Christian values and cosmopolitanism have shaped the model of the school in Protestant sponsorship for more than 200 years. Our boarding houses in Königsfeld in the Black Forest region (in the state of Baden-Württemberg in south-west Germany, close to Freiburg, France and Switzerland) is open to students of all denominations and nationalities, and provide around 70 boys and girls in grades 5 to 13 with a “temporary second home”.

The young people in our boarding houses are given opportunities to express their views and air grievances. They have a say in relation to investment, acquisitions and rules in the boarding houses.

- Gymnasium specialising in social and health sciences (with psychology and education as the specialist option) or
- Gymnasium specialising in business and economics (with business as the specialist option).

Gymnasium is the most advanced of the 3 types of German secondary schools, and strongly emphasizes academic learning. This type of academically-oriented secondary school is comparable with college prep schools in the United States, and with the British grammar school system.

The learning campus provides students with the facilities necessary for successful and differentiated learning. In addition to areas for group work, there are two quiet work rooms, five small group rooms, a computer room and four specialist subject rooms in which three to four teachers are always available to provide assistance to students.

Weekend Activities:

Weekends provide the opportunity for group activities and excursions which help to promote a sense of community among the boarders.

Working with Parents:
When you enrol your child at the Zinzendorf boarding school you are giving us a mandate to teach and educate him or her. Close and mutual cooperation is the best basis for this. Regular and open communication is therefore crucial for a successful partnership between you and the boarding school. Twice a year we hold parent-teacher meetings at which you will have the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with individual subject teachers. The boarding house heads and individual tutors will of course also be available for consultation.

Surrounded by unspoilt countryside and enjoying a healthy climate, the spa resort of Königsfeld in the Black Forest provides the ideal environment for personal development and learning.

The facilities and amenities available in Königsfeld cater for every need: the many activities on offer and proximity to towns such as Villingen-Schwenningen, Rottweil and St. Georgen provide a wealth of opportunities for leisure pursuits.

Königsfeld is conveniently located only a few kilometres from the motorway. The nearest international airports in Stuttgart (Germany), Zurich and Basle (in Switzerland) can be reached within one to two hours.

The International School OWL is a full-day boarding school based in the beautiful city of Paderborn in the centre of Germany.

Our students graduate with the German Baccalaureate, a high school diploma that is recognised by universities worldwide.

It is an IB programme (International A-level) with additional German language courses. There is no need for an additional foundation year.

Our classes start after junior high school and will last six semesters in total (classes 10-12). Our school offers an excellent international education, through full-day schooling in a multilingual environment, as well as an international, college-preparatory curriculum, containing both English and German courses.

Our curriculum is based on the Edexcel International Advanced Level, a qualification created by leading educational supplier Pearson.

Phorms Education is an internationally-minded private school in the Holzhausen district of Frankfurt City, in the Hesse region of West-Central Germany. We currently offer whole-day bilingual education in German and English for students at primary-school level from Grades 1 - 4 and further expansion is planned. Landesschule Pforta is a Grade 9-12 German boarding school with a long tradition and special concept of furthering talented students in languages, music and natural sciences. Situated close to the cities of Leipzig and Naumburg in eastern Germany, instruction is through German, and every student has to choose one of three centers of interest: Foreign Languages, Music or Natural Sciences.

At Pforta, about 400 students from all parts of Germany live and learn from the 9th to the 12th grade, i.e. from the age of 14 to 18. Our boarding houses do not offer merely accommodation for those students who live too far away to go home every day, but also a safe and secure living and learning environment.
