Preschool Through To 8th Grade Curriculum:
Our academic curriculum is based on the Core Knowledge Sequence, which is a detailed outline of specific content to be taught in:

- Fine Arts

As the core of our curriculum the Core Knowledge Sequence provides a solid, coherent foundation of learning, while allowing for flexibility. Spanish is taught at grades 6 through to 8.

Calvary School offers those subjects commonly taught in preschools and elementary schools. The course of study meets all the educational requirements of the State of California and the San Lorenzo Unified School District of Alameda County. Graduates are admitted to the high schools of the area on the same basis as those from public schools. It is the policy of the school to cooperate with the public authorities in all matters, which concern the welfare of the student and the community.

The curriculum reflects the spiritual, academic, social and physical needs and interests of the whole child. Religious instruction is part of the daily schedule, but more importantly, the identity of self as a child of God as he/she lives out his/her life and purposes for the future serves as the basis of the curriculum at Calvary. The students take part in the weekly Chapel services, daily devotions, and other Christian activities.

Departmentalized teaching is practiced in areas where individual members of the faculty are most suited according to gifts, abilities and interests. The curriculum is under constant study, and revisions will be made as needs become apparent.
