Accommodation:

Homestay
This is your opportunity to live and speak English in a New Zealand home.  You will have your own room with a study desk.  Breakfast, lunch and evening meals from Monday to Friday and during the weekends are included.

Flatting
This is one of the most economical ways of living in New Zealand.  It is also the most common form of ccommodation for students and other young adults.  Usually one person rents a house, then they rent out the extra bedrooms.

Motel
Motel accommodation in New Zealand can be an economical way of living, it is less expensive than hotels.  Motels are like a small home, they usually include kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.

Backpacker
Low-cost accommodation, usually in a large converted house.  Ideal accommodation for individuals and small groups of people wanting to travel around New Zealand.

Taylors College Auckland provides specialised university preparation programs in partnership with leading universities in New Zealand. With successful completion of the Taylors Auckland Foundation Year (TAFY), you will be guaranteed entry into the University of Auckland, AUT University and Massey University. You may also apply for other universities in NZ, Australia, UK or the USA. In 2010, 85% of TAFY students were offered a tertiary place. Our university preparation courses are open to students from New Zealand and international students from around the world.

There are two study options available for Taylors Auckland Foundation Year. If you have superior grades in English and relevant subjects and want to fast track your pathway to University, you can take the Intensive (Accelerated) Program. Intake is in April only and the course is 30 weeks. If you have achieved at least average grades in English and relevant subjects, the Standard Program will be suitable for you. You can start your study in January (39 weeks), July (39 weeks) or August (36 weeks).
