Instituto de Español Costa Rica is located in the capital of Costa Rica, San José, in the eastern part called Guadalupe, about 400 m from the State University (Universidad de Costa Rica) and 10 minutes from downtown (using the public bus). San José is situated in the interior of the country, buses leave to every part of the country from here. This makes it easy to reach the beaches, e.g. it is just a 2 hours bus ride to get to Jacó Beach.

The aim of the Instituto de Español Costa Rica is to enable students to really communicate in the Spanish language. For this reason our methodology is based on a new concept of Total Immersion in the Spanish language.
Courses / Programs:
All materials integrate Spanish language education in the four linguistic abilities: speaking, comprehension, reading and writing. We are experienced in teaching all levels, from beginners to the most advanced. Our lessons take place in small groups consisting of normally two or three students, which guarantees learning success in a familiar atmosphere. Our students can decide between group or individual classes, we also offer Specialized Spanish Programs in the Medical and Legal Field as well as Spanish for Missionaries and Religious Organizations.
Special offers: At the moment we are offering our 2x1 Super Special Package. That means: The 2nd person receives the course for free!
This package is available for all couples or friends with the same level of knowledge of Spanish who enroll for a course in Group Classes in the same period.

Personalized Spanish Language School Costa Rica

PERSONALIZED SPANISH was established in 2001 as a boutique school to offer a better approach to teaching a foreign language. With classes of NO MORE than 3 STUDENTS PER CLASS, our program focuses on a communicative philosophy with flexible lesson plans to meet the needs of each one of our students at the same time that they are involved in the Costa Rican culture. Experience Mission

Based in Port Hadlock, Washington, Experience Mission is a Christian mission organization offering a 6 month immersion program in the Caribbean region that starts by serving in one of South Atlanta's toughest neighborhoods before volunteering abroad in Haiti, Jamaica and Costa Rica. Experience Mission also offers a mission program in Africa, that starts in the Native American Navajo Nation of northeastern Arizona, before travelling to South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana. We currently do not provide Spanish classes as part of our program in Costa Rica.You will experience everything from the bustling inner city to the remotest parts of the rain-forest, building authentic relationships and partnering with local leaders to create sustainable change.
Our mission programs can be divided into three areas of focus: Volunteer Mobilization, Leadership Development, and Community Empowerment. These three distinct focuses are inextricably bound and share the common purpose of spreading the love of Christ to a world in need.
Christian Mission Program (6 months):
- Immersion. Atlanta to Caribbean. Start in South Atlanta and then travel to Haiti, Jamaica and Costa Rica.
We also offer a Navajo to Africa program where participants travel to South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana.

Crossing Borders provides high-quality Spanish language classes for adults and children in Katy TX, next to Cinco Ranch just west of Houston. Whether you are a complete beginner or at a more advanced level, we have a class to suit your specific needs.

Costa Rican Language Academy, CRLA, has been providing high quality Spanish language instruction along with an authentic Latin American cultural experience since 1989. CRLA is completely owned and operated by Costa Ricans. All our professors have university degrees as well as ample training and experience. Our Spanish immersion program includes Homestay with local families, Latin dance classes, Costa Rican cooking classes, additional conversation sessions, and other cultural activities. CRLA also has a volunteer program in San José with children, elderly people, or in ecological and conservation projects around the country.
