Christian Mission Program in Costa Rica / the Caribbean
Experience Mission:
Based in Port Hadlock, Washington, Experience Mission is a Christian mission organization offering a 6 month immersion program in the Caribbean region that starts by serving in one of South Atlanta's toughest neighborhoods before volunteering abroad in Haiti, Jamaica and Costa Rica. Experience Mission also offers a mission program in Africa, that starts in the Native American Navajo Nation of northeastern Arizona, before travelling to South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana. We currently do not provide Spanish classes as part of our program in Costa Rica.
About Experience Mission:
Experience Mission exists to spread Christ's love by connecting people together from diverse cultures and backgrounds, developing leaders, and assisting those that live in under-developed communities with resources and support to enable them to reach their own communities and actively participate in extending out to the world.
Christian Volunteer Mission Program - 6 Months:
Immersion - Atlanta to Caribbean: Start in South Atlanta and then travel to Haiti, Jamaica and Costa Rica. As you travel from the city streets of Atlanta to the remote corners of the Caribbean, be prepared to be a flexible and eager learner while we spend time in each of our partner communities. Once you are part of the Immersion team you will have an active role in creating healthy relationships in the community and sharing leadership with your teammates. Get a realistic look at what it means to work in the mission field and how to put the needs of others above your personal plans and expectations.
Immersion - Navajo to Africa program. Start in the Native American Navajo Nation of northeastern Arizona, before travelling to South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana.

The goal of the Immersion Program is to develop leaders who ask the hard questions about God, themselves and humankind. As cultural lines become blurred and authentic friendships are formed, we hope that every team member will get a clearer picture of God's unique purpose for their life and how they should live out this mission in a way that serves others.

Crla Costa Rican Language Academy

Costa Rican Language Academy, CRLA, has been providing high quality Spanish language instruction along with an authentic Latin American cultural experience since 1989. CRLA is completely owned and operated by Costa Ricans. All our professors have university degrees as well as ample training and experience. Our Spanish immersion program includes Homestay with local families, Latin dance classes, Costa Rican cooking classes, additional conversation sessions, and other cultural activities. CRLA also has a volunteer program in San José with children, elderly people, or in ecological and conservation projects around the country.

The Spanish school in Manuel Antonio , Costa Rica was started in 1992 and is today recognized as one of the best Spanish language schools in Costa Rica. In addition to offering excellent Spanish language programs, you will be hard pressed to find a more beautiful location within Costa Rica. The school itself sits on the side of a mountain overlooking the Manuel Antonio Beach Park Area and the Pacific. Classrooms are comfortable, and are situated both inside the building and outside on the comfortable patio. This school is the perfect option for those who want to get away from to the beaches and natural parks of Costa Rica, while at the same time learning Spanish.When students arrive at the Spanish school in Manuel Antonio, they are given an oral proficiency interview to determine their level. Based on this interview, they are placed tentatively in one of six levels. Once placed in a class, students will experience the schools' total immersion methodology. Classes are conducted completely in Spanish. The school uses custom designed curriculum and text materials.
Group Classes: 4 lessons per day in class sizes of no more than 6 individuals. Average class size ranges from 4-8 students. During four lessons sessions, students participate actively in a small group environment. Each student is assured attention to their individual academic needs. If total immersion becomes a difficulty, we offer supplemental instruction in English once a week in order to clarify any doubts.
