The London Teacher Training College (LTTC) offers a wide range of distance learning TEFL courses and online TESOL certification programs including a Masters (MA) in TESOL Degree course. Students looking to start a career in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) can choose our beginners Pre-TEFL courses as well as our initial Certificate courses. Students looking to further their career can avail of our Diploma and Post-Grad TEFL programmes. Courses can be completed at your convenience through distance learning, or by classroom based courses in one of over 50 partner schools worldwide.
LTTC was established in 1984 and has trained a vast number of teachers of English from around the world. All of our English teacher training courses can be completed by distance learning, or by classroom-based courses in one of over 50 partner schools worldwide.
Each of our partner schools are accredited members of IATQI, and are rigorously inspected annually to ensure they meet the high standards of tuition and course management required. The College prides itself on the quality of its courses and the individual attention it provides every student who enrols. What is the difference between the Certificate course and the Diploma course?
The Certificate course is ideal for those who wish to gain a fast qualification which will provide them with initial survival skills in the classroom. it covers the basic syllabus of the Diploma, but in much less depth and can be completed in a few days. There are 10 easy to answer questions at the end of each of the 10 units.
The Diploma course is much more academic and covers the syllabus in much greater depth. It is a higher qualification and will usually attract better working conditions and salary. It consists of four modules and requires the completion of 8 assignments - 2 from each module.
What are the job prospects for EFL teachers?
English as a foreign language is a huge industry employing hundreds of thousands of teachers in almost every country of the world. Your tutors themselves have trained hundreds of teachers who are currently employed in a wide variety of locations.
Is the course open to non-native speakers of English?
The course is available to both native and non-native speakers of English. Your tutors would tell you that some of their most successful course members have been non-native speakers.
How can I be sure that I can successfully pass the course?
Your tutor will point out any weak areas and make suggestions as to how you can improve. You can submit an assignment up to three times at no extra charge. The course been written and adapted to ensure that students can work their way through the material in their own time and at their own pace. There is no time limit to complete the course.
