International TEFL and TESOL Training, Florence:
International TEFL and TESOL Training (ITTT) is a professional ESL teacher training organization that offers an internationally-recognised and accredited four-week TEFL certificate course in a range of locations worldwide, including in the historic city of Florence, in the Tuscany region of Central Italy. The TEFL certificate you earn on completion will enable you to work as an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teacher in Italy or around the world. In addition, we offer online TEFL certification courses, and optional Italian language courses.
ITTT, in conjunction with TEFL International, offers a 4-week, intensive TEFL certificate course which meets all international standards and is externally validated and moderated by the BOAA (Board of Academic Advisors). You can be assured of the highest standards and quality when you take our course.
In our course, students are assessed on their understanding and practical application of the course content through teaching practice and the compilation of a teaching journal. These two are assessed separately but the final grade awarded amalgamates both sets of grades with a slight weighting towards teaching practice.

Optional Italian Language Course:
If you would like to learn some Italian during your time in Italy, you could attend an Italian language program either before or after your TEFL course. Language courses start most Mondays, and are available for two, four and eight weeks.

Florence, the great Renaissance city, has a population of around half a million, and is situated almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. Being on the main national railway lines, it is easily accessible from most important places both in Italy and abroad.
The Florence "Vespucci" airport, with flights to and from a wide range of national and international destinations is located 5km from the city centre.
Its medieval structures and Renaissance architecture will leave you breathless and with a real appreciation for architecture itself. ITTT's school is located in a 'real' Italian area where students will meet, eat lunch with, and socialize with Italians who actually live and carry out their daily lives in the vicinity of the school. As a result, they will be exposed to the authentic Florence, not the Florence that is created for tourists. The Italian support staff is extremely helpful and courteous, and will give you all the help they can to make your stay in Florence and your 4 weeks on the course as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
There are several accommodation options available while you attend the TEFL International course in Florence:
1. A private room in Florence. We have a few different locations in Florence itself for you to choose from, and you may or may not be placed with other students from TEFL International.
2. A shared room in Florence (limited availability). All apartments are furnished, and conveniently located in the city.
3. Home-stay. Some students want the experience of staying with a host family. This option is for those who really want to experience the Italian lifestyle.
4. Pensione. If you don’t want to worry about making your bed or going to the grocery store for breakfast, then you might want to stay at the Pensione Ferretti, conveniently located in the center of Florence.
All accommodations will be located within a maximum of 30 minutes walk and/or a 15-minute bus ride to the school.
