Star of the Sea Elementary School, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is a Catholic School offering grades Pre-K through 8. Accredidation:
Star of the Sea Catholic School is fully accredited for students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Star of the Sea has passed the rigorous accreditation requirements of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), School Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (CASA) and the Virginia Catholic Education Association (VCEA).
Our History:
In 1915, St. Mary's Catholic Basilica in Norfolk, began plans for a small chapel beside Lake Holley on land obtained from Mr. James S. Groves of the Virginia Beach Development Company. Over the next four decades, rapid growth of the parish placed space demands on the small chapel resulting in various renovations and construction phases. In the 1950s, Father Nicholas Habets furthered expansion by overseeing the construction of Star of the Sea Catholic School.

Montessori Children’s House, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is a traditional Montessori pre-school and Kindergarten educating children ages 2 1/2 to 8 years of age. We aim to provide our young students with a solid learning foundation by tailoring lessons to each child’s needs and interests using a complete Montessori curriculum. Our Lady of Lourdes is a Catholic Elementary School in the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, Virginia. It serves students from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, with a school population of approximately 400. There are two classes of each Grade from K - 8th, with 20 to 25 students in each class. In addition to academic instruction, students also participate in music, art, physical education, computer technology, and library, with Spanish language instruction for the 2nd through the 8th grades.
