Hordle Walhampton is an independent boarding and day school for boys and girls from 2 - 13 years old. Day Programmes run for students from Nursery through Prep School, while our boarding programmes cater to children from ages 8-13. We are located in Lymington, Hampshire on the Southern edge of the New Forest National Park. Lakes, woodland and extensive games fields surround the main house, providing wonderful facilities for traditional games, sailing, riding and fieldwork.

Photo of Private Boarding School in Hampshire, UK School Activities take place for all children on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 17.15 and 18.00. They are designed to provide an opportunity to sample, try, enjoy, develop and improve new skills and experiences.

With over 50 different activities generally on offer thoughout the year (according to interest and availability of staff) our range is always wide and varied. A full list is available from the school but regulars include model making, roller hockey, speech and drama, dance, cookery, beekeeping, model railways, woodwork, orchestra, art and self-defence.

Saturday Activities take place between 9.00am and 12.30pm with three, individual one-hour sessions. Activites such as fishing, fencing, tennis, orienteering, archery, sailing and kayaking are often more suited to a Saturday morning than an evening during the week.

Weekend Activities for the Boarders. The boarders enjoy a wide variety of activities, visits and events. Last term (Summer 2008) the children in The Lodge went on outings to the cinema, the theatre and to the bowling rink. They also went swimming, played Sunday Morning cricket on the lawn, had a campfire supper and hosted a ‘Sleepover’.
