Accreditation:
Cherokee Creek Boys School is fully accredited by the Southern Associations of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Our Program:
The Cherokee Creek program is devoted to helping students gain personal insight — to reconnect with those powerful, loving, creative, wise parts of themselves that have become hidden or lost. This journey of self-discovery unfolds for our students as they explore the PATH — an acronym for the four core areas of our program:

- P - Personal enrichment
- A - Academics
- T - Therapy
- H - Health and recreation

Our Students:
Our students are great kids with very real challenges. By the time boys reach Cherokee Creek, family relationships are often strained and the home environment may be in chaos.

Many of our students are unaware, unwilling or incapable of recognizing the negative impact that their actions have on themselves, their families and those around them.

Our students will begin a new journey at CCBS and will continue their journey with expanded insight and new tools as they graduate and return home. Our students come to us with many challenges including, but not limited to:

Arthur Morgan School
Courses / Programs
Located in Burnsville, North Carolina, The Arthur Morgan School (AMS) is a private, alternative, day and boarding school for middle school students in Grades 7, 8 and 9.

AMS provides a safe and loving environment where our students learn to question and evaluate, think creatively and work cooperatively. A low student/teacher ratio ensures individualized instruction and guidance. Students and staff honor the Quaker values of simplicity, responsibility, service, personal integrity, nonviolent conflict resolution and respect for self, others and the environment.

Our curriculum standards meet the North Carolina Guidelines for Independent Schools. All students attend math and language arts classes. Students also engage in in-depth, integrated studies where they gain knowledge that more traditional schools offer in social studies, history and science classes.

Our experience over the years has been that AMS students graduate fully prepared to enter a traditional high school. Moreover, as numerous alumni have confirmed, they continue to be self-motivated learners after leaving AMS.
