Placing students & independently established teachers together, in a musically enriched environment since 1987, CMS offers unique music lessons, tailored to each student's individual music needs & goals.

- Brass Lessons:
French Horn Lessons | Saxophone Lessons | Trombone Lessons | Trumpet Lessons

California Music Studios contracts with independently established instructors who love giving brass lessons. Feel confident & excited to learn how to play any horn instrument. Teachers use refined techniques to make learning easier.

- Drum Lessons:
Drum Lessons | Percussion Lessons

California Music Studios contracts with independently established instructors who specialize in a variety of percussion instruments. Teachers use refined techniques, and they would love to help make it easier for you to learn how to play drums.

Feel confident & excited to learn about percussion. Take drum lessons, play that beat! Learn catchy jazz or funk drumming, tribal beats, or simply rock a drum set!

- Flute Lessons:
A modern flute is not simply a kid's instrument, it is very refined. A flute must be carefully assembled each time before playing, and afterwards it must be taken apart, then gently cleaned & safely stored. Learning flute is an excellent opportunity for children to learn some discipline & responsibility. Teachers use refined techniques to make learning easier.

- Guitar Lessons:
Acoustic Guitar Lessons | Electric Guitar Lessons | Bass Guitar Lessons

Learn classical guitar, rock, jazz, blues, whatever your style. Guitar is easier for children who are at least 7 years old. It takes a lot of strength in the wrists as well as the fingers to be able to push down the strings. Some children can become frustrated if they are too young. If your child is younger and is persistent in wanting to play the guitar, you should ease them into it by introducing thImage of Music Classes for Kids & Teens in Southern Californiae piano first. This really is the best instrument to start on, and it will help your child when he does transfer to the guitar.

- Piano Lessons:
Piano Lessons | Electric Keyboard Lessons
Children can start piano at the age of 4. This is the best instrument for any student to start because piano is the basic foundation of music. If you are skilled at the piano, it is a lot easier to pick up any other instrument. All music majors in college must have courses in piano before they can graduate. We highly recommend that all students begin their musical studies in piano.

- Violin Lessons:

Violin Lessons | Cello Lessons | Viola Lessons | Double Bass
California Music Studios contracts with independently established instructors who love giving violin lessons. Feel confident & excited to learn how to play violin. Teachers use refined techniques to make learning easier.

Some instructors offer lessons in cello or viola as well, since the instruments are related to the violin. Unlike guitar, instruments of the violin family do not have frets, so it is important for a student to develop an ear for the notes. The Suzuki method is especially useful for young beginners.

- Voice Lessons:

Voice Lessons | Singing Lessons | Vocal Coach

California Music Studios works with some of the most talented voice coaches and acting instructors in Southern California. Many of the independently established teachers have professional recording careers, having had hit albums and CDs.

Whatever your goal - whether musical theatre or opera - rock n roll or gospel, we contract with very talented teachers with years of experience who can guide you and keep you on course with private one on one lessons and specialized workshops. They can also help you with auditions and performances. A professional vocal coach is what it takes, to do it right.
