NYMA offers the highest quality of musical education in Queens with our world-renowned faculty consisting of Master's or Ph.D. graduates from the prestigious Juilliard School in New York. Our teachers instruct in cello, clarinet, doublebass, flute, guitar, oboe, piano, theory and composition, trumpet, viola, violin, voice.

In understanding that one of the most important goals of music learning is the capability of performing in public, and sharing the beautiful music to the loved one, we provide student concerts at least four times a year in our school performance space, as well as outside concert halls, for a bigger stage experience.

We are conveniently located in the heart of Forest Hills on Queens Boulevard, between 75th Avenue and 76th Road. Our school is on the second floor above Same Ash Music Store. You can take E or F to either 75th Avenue or Union Turnpike Station, and we are about 3 minutes walking from either station. Q 60 Bus also stops right in front of our building. The Brownstone School and Daycare Center is a preschool located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City, at 128 West 80th Street between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues, half a block from the Museum of Natural History. We were founded in 1963 and chartered by the New York State Board of Regents in 1983. Most of our families live or work on Manhattan's Upper West Side. However, the school has always been strongly committed to families from a variety of cultural, ethnic and economic backgrounds that reflect our diverse society, so families from all over the city have always been a part of The Brownstone.
