Town House International School (T.H.I.S) is a non-profit, licensed pre-school in the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. We offer an enriching pre-school program that incorporates language, science, math, play, computers, music-and-movement and arts in a multicultural environment. We have a full pre-school curriculum, both outdoor and indoor play areas, and we visit the park and library. Our schedule options are designed to meet the different needs of different families. We have qualified and experienced teachers who love their jobs. Our age-appropriate program focuses on the whole child in the areas of cognitive, socio-emotional, physical and intellectual development. Our youngest students are two years old and our graduates are five years old. The curriculum in each of our classrooms is age appropriate and incorporates the critical components of child-initiated and teacher-supported activities.
Town House International School (T.H.I.S.) is a member of the Independent School Admission Association of Greater New York, the Parents League Association and the Educational Record Bureau (ERB), and is committed to the Principles of good Practice as articulated by the National Association of independent Schools (NAIS).
The school is licensed by the NYC Board of Health, is a member of the nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York (NCCNY) and is chartered by the Board of Regent of the State University in association with the New York State Department of Education.
Since our inception in 1976, we have believed that a pre-school is the springboard for one’s lifelong journey of intellectual and social growth. Longview School, located in Brewster (50 miles north of NYC) in Putnam County, is a state recognized private school offering K-12 programs. Longview combines rigorous academics in the traditional curriculum with electives hardly ever seen on the pre-K to 12th grade level. The Center for Dance and Body (CDAB) is located on the Upper East Side of New York City and offers a wide range of dance and fitness classes. Body Ballet, our signature class, was created by CDAB founder Anna Lederfeind and is a unique Ballet Barre Workout that allows even non-dancers to achieve a ballet dancer physique. Each class, for amateurs, pre-professionals, and professionals alike, takes place in an atmosphere of serious purpose, concentration on physical improvement, personal care and attention, and a sense of joy and musicality. We offer private instruction in addition to classes. Custom-designed training, in particular audition preparation for pre-professional schools, are special features of the curriculum. We offer small classes and lots of personal attention.

Adults and Children in Trust (A.C.T.), located on the 11-acre oasis of the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine campus on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, is an education center that provides year-round educational and recreational programs for infants, children and teens from 6 months to 17 years old. At A.C.T., we work with children from the very beginning. Once children are in school, we provide families with afterschool care, holiday camps, summer camps and even party services for those special milestones in a child’s life.
