Center for Dance and Body:
The Center for Dance and Body is located on the Upper East Side of New York City and offers a wide range of dance and fitness classes. Body Ballet, our signature class, was created by CDAB founder Anna Lederfeind and is a unique Ballet Barre Workout that allows even non-dancers to achieve a ballet dancer physique. Each class, for amateurs, pre-professionals, and professionals alike, takes place in an atmosphere of serious purpose, concentration on physical improvement, personal care and attention, and a sense of joy and musicality. We offer private instruction in addition to classes. Custom-designed training, in particular audition preparation for pre-professional schools, are special features of the curriculum. We offer small classes and lots of personal attention.

About Our Director - Anna Lederfeind:

Originally from Belgium, Anna began dancing at age seven at the Conservatoire de la Danse directed by Maurice Béjart, and studied with Jacques Saussin and Dolores Laga. Anna has performed as a principal dancer for Theatre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, and at Royal Theaters in Aachen, Lubeck and Hamburg. In New York, Anna trained with Nenette Charisse and Lee Theodore of the American Dance Machine. Anna has been a guest ballet teacher for pre-professionals at The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance as well as teaching Master classes in basic ballet in other schools. 

Additionally, Ms.Lederfeind is an ABT® (American Ballet Theatre) Certified Teacher , having successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensives in Primary through Level 7 and Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. As a lifelong dance professional, Anna also founded CDAB (Center for Dance and Body) as a way to make the artistry and athleticism of dance accessible to adults, both professionals and non-professionals.

- Private / Shared Dance classes:  5 dancers maximum and can be scheduled by you alone or with others with the instructor of your choice

The New Amsterdam School offers programs inspired by Waldorf curriculum for children from birth to age seven and beyond in Lower Manhattan, New York City. EL TALLER LATINO AMERICANO (The Latin American Workshop) is a non-profit arts and education organization in New York City. We offer year round art and music workshops for children. El Taller also has a 22-year history of being the musical home in New York for musicians from all over the Americas. Our Artistic Director Bernardo Palombo is a composer, performer and impresario who has brought some of the greatest names in American music to El Taller including: Mercedes Sosa, Philip Glass, David Byrne, Leon Gieco, Atahualpa Yupanqui and many more.

At our art classes, children can enjoy engaging in different techniques and processes while exploring their own abilities and aesthetic.
