New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) School of Education offers a range of Teacher and Administrator Education Degree & Certificate programs from our two main New York campuses (Old Westbury and Manhattan), and at several partnership sites in the New York metropolitan region. In addition, some courses and programs are offered online or using state-of-the-art videoconferencing. The School was officially formed in 1991 and was built on a foundation of programs in teacher education and educational technology that existed at NYIT since the early 1970's. Today, it has grown to include preparatory and advanced professional study for P-12 teachers, school counselors, school building leaders, educational technologists and professional trainers.
In the past five years, more than 1,000 teachers, counselors, supervisors, and principals in the New York metro area have received their training from the NYIT School of Education and are now serving students in public and private schools.
Many of our programs can be taken fully on-line and lead to New York State initial certification. The School of Education at NYIT is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

Emergency Care Programs is the largest prehospital emergency medical training company in New York City. Established in the early 1980s, we provide effective and practical Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and paramedic training classes to students living in Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens, NYC and the entire tri-state area. Our programs have trained well over 20,000 people in emergency medical services & techniques. You can attend classes at our training centers throughout Brooklyn, The Bronx and Manhattan, or we can offer courses on-site at your location. All Emergency Care Programs instructors are EMTs or paramedics with years of real street experience. Our instructors combine years of teaching experience with first hand knowledge of true-life emergencies. In addition, Emergency Care Programs offers the best, most practical instruction for CPR, First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator use. All courses available focus on practical skills with intensive hands-on training. This type of training delivers the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to respond to true-life emergencies.
