Image of NYIT School of Education NYIT School of Education:
With two main New York campuses at Old Westbury and Manhattan, along with several partnership sites in the New York metropolitan region, New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) School of Education offers professional Degree & Certificate programs for P-12 teachers, school counselors, school building leaders, educational technologists, professional trainers, and more.. Many of our programs can be taken fully on-line and some courses and programs are offered online or using state-of-the-art videoconferencing.

Nestled among more than a hundred wooded and landscaped acres, NYIT's Dorothy and Alexander Schure Old Westbury campus looks and feels like a private estate. In fact, the campus comprises several former North Shore estates. Many of the former C.V. Whitney estate buildings were reconstructed for educational use with special attention given to exterior charm. Classroom buildings and parking fields are connected by walkways through woods and meadows. Spacious plazas act as outdoor classrooms for students and faculty as well.

Students spend time between classes dining at one of the many cafès on campus, playing games at the Student Activity Center, listening to lectures on various issues, attending student organization meetings, or exercising in the Sports Complex. NYIT-Old Westbury is located on Northern Boulevard, east of Glen Cove Road and west of Route 107.
