About Ladera Music Academy:

Our goal is to encourage children to explore & make music. Music can offer the mental & emotional tools needed for children to build a well-rounded future. Music education offers children the opportunity to develop skills ranging from better concentration to coordination in addition to providing a creative outlet for self expression.

Our Mission:
Ladera Music Academy offers affordable, flexible music education services through on campus music classes, parks and recreations programs and private lessons throughout Southern California. We believe that talent is earned, not given, so we have the high expectation that any child can excel in music while having fun!

About our Founder:

In 2011, Dr. Tanitra Flenaugh started the Southern California Fine Music Center with the goal of providing excellent music education services through on-campus music programs, parks and recreation programs, and private lessons throughout Southern California. Over 80 low-income children in the Inglewood community are benefiting from her orchestral music education and instrumental summer music camps.

Dr. Flenaugh is opening the doors to the Ladera Music Academy in 2013 in order to continue servicing the community in a greater way. The academy will offer classes for any level of experience from infants through seniors.
