School Curriculum:
Our curriculum is inspired by the European approach, and is informed by our guiding philosophy and principle, that music and art are to be both mastered and enjoyed. In other words, our curriculum is designed in such a way that it ensures development of skill while promoting spontaneity and creativity. While we accept that some students are primarily interested in music or art "just for fun," we strongly encourage our students to work towards the development of the necessary technical skills for music or art performance.

The typical structure of music instruction consists of:

- Learning and performance of a piece
- Technical Work (e.g. scales, keyboard musicianship)
- Sight reading
- Viva voce (theory), and sometimes performance from memory
- Aural awareness (ear training, recognition of cords, etc.)
- Having lots of fun in the process

Of course, this structure is flexible and not fixed, because we always tailor our instruction to the strengths, interests, personality, and age of each student. Such an individual-tailored approach means that oftentimes we use method books chosen (e.g. Bastien, Alfred, Noona, etc.) by the teacher of a respective student, again, on the basis of the student's age, strengths, personality, and interests.
