Wee Care Daycare is located in Lexington, part of the Lexington–Fayette–Frankfort–Richmond Combined Statistical Area in Fayette County, Kentucky. We are a family owned childcare center offering programs for infants from six weeks to four year olds. Day Care Programs for Infants to 4 year olds: 

6 Weeks to 12 months:
* Each child is provided his/her own crib, sheet, blanket, and cubbie.
* Teachers sing songs and read stories to encourage language acquisition, and they pass balls and play games to develop motor skills.
* Teachers spend quality time cuddling and talking to babies to instill trust and to provide a healthy learning environment.
* Teacher’s keep individual schedules for each baby so that their diaper changes, feedings, and nap timesare personalized for the infant’s needs.

12 to 18 months
:
* A wide variety of toys are available for toddlers to explore. There is a reading center with books and couches. There is also a dramatic play area with kitchen, play food, dolls, and dress up clothes. Our block area has plenty of blocks, animals, and cars for imaginary play.
*At this age stacking, filling, and dumping are so exciting. We have many fine motor toys that allow for interlocking, stacking, fitting, opening and closing.

24 to 36 Months:

* This classroom has more defined centers. The children enjoy a reading center, blocks center, dramatic play center, music, art, science center, and manipulatives.
* Potty training is a main focus in this classroom. The children are taken to the potty regularly and we patiently aid them in learning the steps needed to become independent and graduate into big girl/boy underwear.
* Two Year Olds are invited to take part in daily music and movement activities. This pairs listening skills with body awareness and daily exercise!
* Our teachers focus on emerging language skills. Singing songs, read alongs, and conversations about the weekly themes occur daily. Children are taught to use their words to communicate effectively among each other and to problem solve. Requesting items and information, expressing feelings, and opportunities to share their own stories and experiences are very important skills needed to build a solid foundation in language and communication.

2 - 4 year olds:
* This classroom has very specific centers:
* Reading Center with books, puppets, and soft furniture
* Block Center with many types of blocks, animals, people, train table and cars

Hayfield Montessori

Located in Louisville, Kentucky, Hayfield Montessori School is a private preschool and elementary school offering programs to children from 3 years of age through 5th Grade.

Preschool classes are made up of 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds and 5-year-olds, and are offered in three sessions--morning, afternoon, or a double session, which is a full school day. Kindergarten students attend double session. There are two elementary classes, also grouped by age. First graders are in their own group, and second through fifth graders study together in a second class.

Founded in 1967, Hayfield Montessori was one of the first Montessori schools in Kentucky and was only one of three elementary Montessori Schools in the United States.
