Mandarin & Spanish immersion programs in Midtown West, NYC and in Stirling NJ (in Long Hill Township, Morris County): The mission of HWIS is to develop global citizens ready to Navigate the World®, and that begins in our Preschool. Beginning at an early age takes advantage of a critical window in which the young mind is receptive to certain types of input, including language. Students learn subject matter (math, science, social studies, and language arts) using the target language as the vehicle.

Immersion programs in the US have grown 94% from 1981 to 2011. The rise in popularity can be attributed to the proven benefits of an immersion education. Research continues to find more and more benefits which are not only academic but cognitive, creative, and social. Students who learn in an immersion environment gain more than just an additional language; they are given skills to help them succeed for their rest of their lives.

Mandarin & Spanish Language Programs:

HudsonWay Immersion School offers several programs designed to support our students beyond the school day and to benefit non-HWIS school students interested in language immersion.

Step by Step is a family friendly dance studio offering quality dance education in Monmouth County, NJ. Dance classes are available for kids from the age of 2 1/2, teenagers and adults. Avenue to Broadway is a dance studio located in Lakehurst, Ocean County, New Jersey that offers many disciplines of dance to kids, teenagers and adults. We teach ballet, tap dancing, hip hop, jazz, Irish step dancing, acrobatics and zumba and more to students of all ages and levels. Assumption Academy is a PreK-8 Catholic elementary school located at 35 Jefferson Avenue in Emerson in Bergen County, NJ. New Covenant Christian Academy (NCCA) is an independent Christian school for grades K-8 in Plainfield, New Jersey, serving Union County and surrounding areas.
