The GASP Language Institute for Academic Studies and Career Preparation is located in the city of Berlin near the famous Alexanderplatz in the central Mitte district. We prepare foreign students, graduate and post-graduate students to study at a German tertiary educational institution. We also help prepare you to meet the challenges of carrying out difficult tasks in the German language at your place of work within the German business sector. In addition to this, the language institute trains foreign experts, guest academics, postgraduates and employees (at German companies) to meet the rigorous challenges of using German in their place of work / study.
Elementary German Intensive Language Course for Beginners:
We offer 16-24 weeks (320-480 or 480-720 lesson hours à 45 min) of intensive lessons for elementary students:
• Development of language skills,
• Intensive vocabulary and grammar;
• Training of listening and reading comprehension, as well as spoken and written communication skills,
• Phonetics,
• Language excursions with an emphasis on expanding your knowledge of daily life and the geography of Germany/ excursions to universities and technical colleges and libraries
Lesson Schedule: Monday to Friday in the afternoon, 4 or 6 lesson hours daily, with 45 minutes per lesson hour and partially Saturdays
Number of Participants: Approximately 15 participants per group
Certificate Awarded: We offer a basic level training that is validated by a GASP Language Institute certificate.
Upper Intermediate / Advanced German Language Course:
The goal of the training is the preparation for the German as a Foreign Language for Tertiary Education Exam (DSH) and/or the Test for German as a Second language (TestDaF)

• Intensive vocabulary and grammar
• Intensive listening and reading comprehension training, using studies and career oriented texts and topics;
• Training of spoken and written communication skills;
• Language exercises and practices for the development for language skills related to university study goals and career goals within the business realm;
• Language excursions, with an emphasis on expanding your knowledge of daily life and the geography of Germany/ excursions to universities and technical colleges, as well as other academic institutions, companies and communal institutions
Lesson Schedule: Monday to Friday in the afternoon, 4 or 6 lesson hours daily, with 45 minutes per lesson hour and partially Saturdays

Certificate Awarded: Our advanced language training is oriented towards attaining a level equivalent to that of the German as a Foreign Language for Tertiary Education Exam (DSH) and/or the Test for German as a Second language (TestDaF) and is validated by a GASP Language Institute certificate.
