What is DSH?
Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH)- German as a Foreign Language for Tertiary Education is a German language test done before entry into a technical college or university. It tests to see if the study applicant is in possession of the language skills necessary to complete a degree at a German college/university. The DSH tests reading, listening, writing and oral competencies.
Are there any alternatives to the DSH? Yes, in particular the TestDaF ("Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache")- Test of German as a Foreign Language. Furthermore, there are a number of other tests that are alternatives to the DSH: Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom (KDS)-Short German Language Diploma, Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom (GDS)- Long German Language Diploma, Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung (ZOP)- Central A-level Exam and KMK-Sprachdiplom, Stufe II- KMK Language Diploma, Level II

Sprachforum Heinrich Heine Düsseldorf, founded in 1992 by former lecturers of Düsseldorf's Heinrich Heine University, is an international language institute. Our German language institute was founded in 1984 and we specialize in the teaching of German as a foreign language. Our school in Munich is located in the heart of the city centre and is very easy to reach via public transport. We are a member of IALC and provide quality courses for adults (min. age 16).
