The Akademie für Fremdsprachen GmbH - private Fachschule was founded in 1971, and has established itself since then as one of Berlin’s leading language schools. Our school is situated in the heart of the western part of Berlin, ten minutes walk from the famous Kurfürstendamm shopping street. Our school has a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere and offers a wide range of German language courses, from regular day classes to more intensive courses and one-to-one tuition. We provide the entire range of proficiency levels, from beginner through to advanced. We are a recognised centre for a number of Cambridge and London Chamber of Commerce examinations and prepares candidates for professional qualifications in translation.

Our German courses usually run in sequence, progressing from one level to the next. However, we do also offer our students the opportunity to take an external examination: Deutsch als Fremdsprache (DaF).
The official Freie University, Berlin 'Deutsch als Fremdsprache' examination is open to all the students at the Akademie, but is intended more specifically for those completing the Intermediate Level. Passing this exam is a requirement for all foreign-speaking students wishing to do a course of study at the Freie University in Berlin.
At Akademie, we also offer General English, Commercial & Business English, Spanish, French, Italian and Russian language courses.
The school has some very conveniently located flats (not far from the school) available to language course participants.
Apartment 1: The apartment is approximately 35m² and is located in Fürther Strasse, not far from the Akademie. It has a single room with the following facilities:
- Two beds
- Bathroom with shower
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Price for one month: € 560 (for one person)
Apartment 2: This apartment is also located not far from the Akademie, but it has three separate rooms. Each room has one bed and access to the following facilities:
- Bathroom with shower
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Washing machine
- Price for one room: € 400 per month

Horizonte language institute is located in Regensburg, Bavaria. If you want to learn German in Germany, this is the right place to go. Horizonte was founded in 1986 and has quickly earned a good international reputation through its high standard of teaching and its personal, friendly and unbureaucratic working ethos. Our language school is on the 4th floor of an office building (built in the 50's) in the quiet medieval city centre of Regensburg, they were completely refurbished in 2002. We have eight bright fully equipped classrooms. From some of them you have a view to the cathedral. You can have coffee and use 6 computers at any time.
