Sydney Design School offers students a thorough grounding in the skills and techniques of interior design and decoration. Our new boutique studios have open plan work stations and plenty of natural light. The School has a complete library of reference books and magazines and a sample room with the latest products, materials and fabrics. Students will graduate with a comprehensive portfolio of work to showcase their skills and ablity to prospective clients and employers.

You will explore the design process; from taking an initial brief from a client to presenting an interior scheme through a broad range of practical studio projects.

The projects will embrace all aspects of an interior scheme including planning a range of interior spaces, selecting and specifying furniture, finishes, colour schemes, lighting and putting together concept and sample boards to present to a client. Your learning will be enhanced by regular visits from suppliers and visits to showrooms.

The course is structured into three parts; LIVE, LEARN and DESIGN

Designers with a sound knowledge of their field, combined with business management skills, are the most sought after by employers in the creative industries.
