Our Montessori environment is strategically designed to meet the child's innate need for learning and is responsive to the child’s continually changing needs.

Our Infant Learning Environment:

Our infant room offers an aesthetic home-like setting and is designed to provide order, beauty, simplicity, and dignity - all values we strive to instill in children. It provides stimulating finger based environment helps infants to make the hand and brain connection.

In our infant environment, there is plenty of open floor space with low shelves, which encourage exploration. Our materials consist of items such mirrors hung horizontally at floor height, mobiles, tiny tables and chairs, calming colors, music, and climbing stairs and slides for those who are more mobile. Carefully selected materials are strategically placed in order to expose infants to a variety of opportunities for physical, language, and cognitive growth.

Our Toddler Learning Environment:
Cosmic Montessori Community Toddler’s class is a rich educational environment designed to provide critical stimulation for mind and body development and promote personal independence. From washing hands to watering plants, arranging flowers to preparing and serving snacks, each student is engaged in real-life practical experiences which magnify development for this age group.

Our activities help the toddler achieve several meaningful goals:

- Development of strong neurological connections for later intellectual work,
- Development of the ability to concentrate and carry out a task in a sequence of
steps
- Development of the capability to care for oneself and care for the environment.

Children at the toddler level are particularly sensitive to language, order, and the precision and sequence in which an event occurs. By capitalizing on these sensitivities, teachers introduce a wide range of vocabulary, emphasize how things are described, provide direction in the steps necessary to successfully complete a task, and allow children to freely choose within an ordered environment.
